No more waiting, the 2018 10-time Tony Award-winning Best Musical, THE BAND'S VISIT, officially celebrates one year on Broadway tonight!

La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast and creative team for its world-premiere production of The Year to Come, by Lindsey Ferrentino (Amy and the Orphans, Ugly Lies the Bone), directed by Encores! Off-Center Artistic Director and UC San Diego M.F.A. graduateAnne Kauffman (Playhouse's Hundred Days), running December 4 - 30 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.

On Monday, October 1st at the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center at 7:30pm, the cast of the Tony Award-winning musical The Band's Visit-including Tony Award winners Tony Shalhoub and Katrina Lenk-presented "The Band Visits Cariani," an evening of scenes from John Cariani's plays.

Two-time Tony Award nominee Brandon Uranowitz will join the cast of THE BAND'S VISIT as 'Itzik.' Uranowitz will begin performances in The Band's Visit on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

Tony Award-winning Best Musical, THE BAND'S VISIT has recouped its $8.75 million capitalization on Broadway. The new musical began performances on October 7, 2017 and officially opened on November 9, 2017 on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street).

Members of the original Broadway cast of the 10-time Tony Award-winning Best Musical, The Band's Visit-including Tony Award winners Katrina Lenk and Tony Shalhoub-will come together for a one-night-only benefit presentation of THE BAND VISITS CARIANI, an evening of scenes from John Cariani's plays. Tony & Olivier Award nominee Moritz Von Stuelpnagel (Hand To God,Present Laughter, Bernhardt/Hamlet) will direct. All proceeds will benefit the Wintergreen Arts Center, in Cariani's hometown of Presque Isle, Maine, which offers arts programs to children and adults in rural northern Maine.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents "What The F*ck Is Going On: In Concert," a new musical by award-winning composer Zach Spound. Part cabaret, part rock concert, and part investigative journalism, this wild and though-provoking evening of songs brings the world of contemporary journalism to life as we follow a young woman's journey to the heart of the Russia Investigation.

Last night, the Alexandria Ceremonial Police Band of the The Band's Visit took to the stage door for a celebratory post-show jam session to celebrate the show's 10 Tonys including Best Musical. BroadwayWorld got to catch the exciting concert, and you can check out photos below!

The North American Tour of The Band's Visit will launch in Providence, Rhode Island in June 2019. Exact dates and additional cities will be announced at a later date. The show's producers also announced today that a new block of tickets for The Band's Visit are now on sale through Sunday, February 17, 2019.

Last night, the company of The Band's Visit (including Tony Award nominees Katrina Lenk and Ari'el Stachel), and the musical's on stage Alexandria Ceremonial Police Orchestra (George Abud, Ossama Farouk, Sam Sadigursky, Harvey Valdesand Garo Yellin) invited the real life NYPD Ceremonial Police Band (under the direction of Lieutenant Tony Giorgio). The band attended the performance, and then joined in on stage to play a song together.

THE BAND'S VISIT plays its 200th Broadway performance on Friday, May 4, 2018, which would have been Umm Kulthum's 114th Birthday. Check out photos from the celebration below!

It was revealed on Twitter tonight that the cast of The Bands Visit will stop by the TODAY show this week for a special performance from the show and kicking off Broadway Week on the morning show, beginning Tuesday, May 1.

The Old Globe's 2017-2018 Season continues with today's announcement of the complete cast and creative team for the Southern California debut of A Thousand Splendid Suns, Ursula Rani Sarma's sweeping and deeply moving theatrical production based on the best-selling book by Khaled Hosseini (The Kite Runner). Directed by Carey Perloff and presented in association with American Conservatory Theater, A Thousand Splendid Suns will run May 12 - June 17, 2018 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage, Old Globe Theatre, Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $30.00 and are on sale to the general public now. Previews run May 12-16. Opening night is Thursday, May 17 at 8:00 p.m.

Very Intense Productions presents Songs from THREE POINTS OF CONTACT, a new musical by Ryan Scott Oliver. The evening will be presented at 54 Below (254 West 54th Street, NYC), on Monday, April 30 at 7:00pm and 9:30pm. Marshall Pailet (Baghdaddy) directs.
