The award-winning Red Seed Films has announced the online premiere of FRANKIE and film festival screening dates for THE BOTTOM, the company's two inaugural short films.

The Public Theater has announced complete casting for the world premiere of PLAYS FOR THE PLAGUE YEAR, written by and featuring Pulitzer Prize winner and Public Theater Writer-in-Residence Suzan-Lori Parks and directed by Bessie Award winner Niegel Smith. 

Michael R. Jackson's WHITE GIRL IN DANGER will begin previews on March 15, 2023 and will officially open on April 10, 2023 at Second Stage’s Off-Broadway home, the Tony Kiser Theater. The limited 8-week run will play through Sunday, May 21, 2023.

1776 begins previews on Broadway tonight, Friday, September 16, ahead of its official opening on Thursday, October 6, 2022. This is a limited engagement through Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street).

Soho Rep will present Montag, written by Kate Tarker, directed by Dustin Wills and with original opera music by Daniel Schlosberg. The world premiere production of Montag runs October 12–November 13 at Soho Rep.

La Jolla Playhouse’s production of Kristina Wong, Sweatshop Overlord, written and performed by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristina Wong (featured in the Playhouse’s Digital WOW production of Binge) and directed by Chay Yew (Playhouse’s Cambodian Rock Band), will run in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre September 20 – October 16.

I Am My Own Wife is an examination of the life of German antiquarian Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, born Lothar Berfelde, who killed her father when she was a young child and survived the Nazi and Communist regimes in East Berlin as a transgender woman.

Spooky Action Theater kicks off its 2022/2023 season with Jordan Harrison's clever examination of a radical alternate lifestyle in Maple and Vine, directed by Stevie Zimmerman. Performances begin September 29 & 30 with Pay-What-You-Can previews and run until October 23, 2022 at Spooky Action's home at The Universalist National Memorial Church, 1810 16th Street, NW. HartBeat Ensemble announced today their upcoming production of My Children! My Africa!, a gripping drama about the collision of education, idealism and politics by preeminent South African dramatist Athol Fugard. The play will run September 29 through October 9 at HartBeat Ensemble's Carriage House Theater (360 Farmington Avenue) in Hartford, CT.

Laguna Playhouse has announced that JoBeth Williams (“Poltergeist,” “The Big Chill”) and Peter Strauss (“Rich Man, Poor Man,” “The Jericho Mile”) are set to star in the upcoming World Premiere production, based on the 1975 ABC Theatre Presentation that starred Katharine Hepburn and Laurence Olivier, of LOVE AMONG THE RUINS.
