Salty Brine Announces New Cabaret-Theater Hybrid AND IF YOU LISTEN VERY HARD

Salty Brine announces a new cabaret-theater hybrid production of And If You Listen Very Hard as the latest installment in his series, The Living Record Collection. And If You Listen Very Hard is inspired by Led Zeppelin's acclaimed album Led Zeppelin IV and Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. The show will perform at Pangea (178 2nd Avenue) on October 24 and November 9. On October 24, doors will open at 6:00pm and the show will begin at 7:00pm. On November 9, doors will open at 8:30pm and the show will begin at 9:30pm.

The Muse Project, in association with The Tank, will present Musings: a collection of Mini Muse presentations at The Flea Theater as a part of their Anchor Partnership. The Muse Project gives women performers the time, space, and opportunity to experiment with and explore their fantasy projects. Musings will showcase the exciting, fresh, paradigm-shifting storytelling that 5 of New York's leading stage actresses have developed through intensive workshops, called Mini Muses. The week will culminate in a party on October 19th, the 'Mini Gala' - a wine and cheese event to celebrate the week's presentations; and 'Tea Time,' a one-of-a-kind Muse pilot program, where a veteran stage actress discusses her experiences building her career. Actress Florencia Lozano is set to partake as the Tea Time guest.

The Old Globe Celebrates New Voices In The Community

The Old Globe announces its inaugural New Voices in the Community series: free public performances at libraries across San Diego County, followed by conversations with the playwrights and experts in the community. The first New Voices in the Community features three solo shows by women: Hold These Truths by Jeanne Sakata, "A" Train by Anne Torsiglieri, and Unveiled: A One-Woman Play by Rohina Malik.

The Cast of GAME ON is Ready to Compete at Pittsburgh CLO!

Pittsburgh CLO is proud to announce the cast of the world premiere of GAME ON , November 9, 2018 - January 27, 2019 at the CLO Cabaret. The Lark Sets Lineup For 25th Annual Playwrights' Week

The Lark is thrilled to announce five plays and playwrights have been chosen through its Open Access Program for the 25th Annual Playwrights' Week. This year's plays, selected from a pool of over 1,200 submissions, will be: Sistren by Erin Buckley; Even Flowers Bloom in Hell, Sometimes by Franky D. Gonzalez; As Is: Conversations With Big Black Women in Confined Spaces by Stacey Rose; form of a girl unknown by Charly Evon Simpson; and Desarrollo by Juliany Taveras. The selected playwrights will participate in an intensive seven-day retreat, designed to foster a peer-based community among the writers, their creative teams, and The Lark's staff.

Liz Callaway, Telly Leung, and More to Appear as Special Guests with Margo Seibert at Joe's Pub

MARGO SEIBERT - the actor, vocalist and songwriter who has taken Broadway by storm in musicals such as Rocky and In Transit - will welcome a roster of special musical guests for her 77th Street album release concert at Joe's Pub on Monday, October 22 at 9:30 PM. She will be joined by Liz Callaway (Tony Award nominee), Telly Leung (Broadway's Aladdin, "Glee"), Nicholas Ward (Frozen), Erin Mackey (Wicked), and Heather Christian (Animal Wisdom). The evening will reunite Seibert with her co-stars of Broadway's In Transit, which also featured Leung, Ward and Mackey.

Bucks County Playhouse Launches Play Discovery Reading Series

Audiences will have a chance to experience both lesser known classic plays and new works when Bucks County Playhouse launches its Play Discovery Series with a reading of 'The Outgoing Tide' by Philadelphia playwright Bruce Graham on November 14 at 7:30 p.m. Directed by four-time Oscar nominee, Marsha Mason, 'The Outgoing Tide' is the first of several plays that will be part of the series for which Mason also serves as curator.  Additional titles will be announced shortly.

Latino Theatre Projects Presents BRAINPEOPLE By Jose Rivera

Latino Theatre Projects (LTP) and Producing Artistic Director Fernando Luna, in association with Theatre Off Jackson, will present the Pacific Northwest premiere of Brainpeople by prize-winning Puerto Rican playwright Jose Rivera. Brainpeople will be directed by LTP's Producing Artistic Director Fernando Luna. The production will be presented Today-Saturday evenings, October 11 through November 3, 2018 at 8:00 pm. Performances will be bilingual in English with some Spanish phrases. General admission is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Seniors and students are $20. Stefano Massini's INTRACTABLE WOMAN Enters Final Week of Performances

The U.S. premiere of renowned playwright Stefano Massini's Intractable Woman: A Theatrical Memo on Anna Politkovskaya, will close on Sunday, October 14 at 122CC Second Floor Theater. Presented by The Play Company(PlayCo; Founding Producer Kate Loewald, Managing Director Robert Bradshaw), directed by Lee Sunday Evans (Dance Nation, PlayCo's Caught), and translated by Paula Wing, Intractable Woman follows journalist and human rights activist Anna Politkovskaya, who was murdered in Moscow in 2006 after spending the previous seven years exposing government suppression and the atrocities of war in Chechnya.

The Bushwick Starr Presents David Greenspan's THE THINGS THAT WERE THERE

The Bushwick Starr will collaborate with Abingdon Theatre Company in presenting The Things That Were There, a new play by award-winning playwright and performer David Greenspan (Strange Interlude by Transport Group, Go Back To Where You Are at Playwrights Horizons, The Myopia at The Foundry Theatre), directed by Lee Sunday Evans (Dance Nation at Playwrights Horizons, [PORTO] at WP Theater and The Bushwick Starr, Caught by Play Company).

Martin Sherman's GENTLY DOWN THE STREAM Will Make UK Premiere

Robert Fox and Alex Turner, in association with Park Theatre, present the UK premiere of Martin Sherman's new play Gently Down The Stream, following a critically acclaimed run at the Public Theater in New York. The production opens at Park Theatre on 18 February 2019, with previews from 13 February, running until 16 March.
