Young People's Theatre Unveils Fall Season Lineup

Five Boroughs Music Festival Opens 2023-24 Season With REENCUENTROS

Five Boroughs Music Festival (5BMF) presents Cecilia Duarte, Trio Chapultepec, and percussionist Jesús Pacheco for its 2023-2024 season opener, Reencuentros, on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 7:30pm. The informal performance will take place at Five Boroughs Brewing Company in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, with a subsequent concert on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 7:30pm at Flushing Town Hall in Queens.

JCTC Produces Reading of New Play SIBLING RIVALRIES By Marcus Scott

Jersey City Theater Center will present a reading of Sibling Rivalries by Marcus Scott, a new play set at a fictional Ivy League school in the years following the Obama Administration. The production is set for September 18. Learn more about the reading here!

THE SONDHEIM LEGACY to Premiere on CUNY TV

The Sondheim Legacy will include excerpts from several of Sondheim’s shows enliven commentaries which are informative, insightful, funny and moving. It will discuss major revival of his shows like “Company,”  “Into the Woods,” “Merrily We Roll Along,” “Sweeney Todd” and now, “Here We Are,” a posthumous world premiere at NYC’s The Shed.

IAMA Theatre Company Reveals 2023-24 Season

Focused solely on original work by Los Angeles-based playwrights, the lineup includes IAMA’s annual New Works Festival in the fall; world premieres of two new plays, RADICAL or, are you gonna miss me? by Isaac Gómez and Arrowhead by Catya McMullen, and a co-production with Boston Court Pasadena that continues IAMA’s tradition of partnering with other companies to strengthen connections within the L.A. theater community.

Jackie Osorio, Noah F. Madril And Emily Trujillo Join Long Running Latinx THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK For Limited LA Engagement

Actors Jackie Osorio, Noah F. Madril and Emily Trujillo join the critically acclaimed 2018 LA production of The Diary of Anne Frank in the roles of Mr. & Mrs. Van Daan and Margot Frank. The revival, which garnered international attention with its predominately LatinX cast, will run for four performances September 17 at A Place Called Home and September 19-21 at the Colony Theatre.

'Imaginative and Original,' 35MM-A MUSICAL EXHIBITION Opens 2023-24 Season for Street Theatre Company

Street Theatre Company’s residency at The Barbershop Theatre continues in its expected fine form as the groundbreaking company heads into the 2023-24 season with a gloriously sung production of 35MM – A Musical Exhibition, a song cycle from one of musical theater’s contemporary power couples: composer/lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver (who’s been tapped for stardom by critics, grantors, showtune lovers and theater-goers alike) and his photographer husband Matthew Murphy (whose pictures provide the inspiration for this particular endeavor and who has become one of the most regularly sought-after production photographers in the business).
