It's hard to argue with the line-up for Pittsburgh CLO's star-studded concert anniversary.

The concert features songs from An American In Paris, Dreamgirls, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Color Purple, In The Heights, The Student Prince, a special salute to Rodgers & Hammerstein, and more!

The 12th Jimmy Awards ceremony will be available to watch online on Thursday, July 15th at 7:30PM ET. Fans can watch right here at BroadwayWorld. The ceremony, hosted by Corbin Bleu with a special appearance from Mandy Gonzalez, will be presented entirely online and remain available for viewing for 72 hours ONLY, through Sunday, July 18, 2021.

City Theatre Company, Pittsburgh’s home for contemporary plays, has announced the details of the theatre’s 47th season of new works, taking place in-person beginning in September 2021. Reopening to audiences after 18 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic, City Theatre will fully produce six plays, live and in-person.

Pittsburgh CLO has announced casting for their return to live, in-person performances with THE WIZARD OF OZ, July 8-10 at Heinz Field. This beloved tale, in which a Kansas farm girl travels over the rainbow to discover the magical power of home, has been entertaining audiences for generations.

The Jimmy Awards has just announced this year’s 72 nominees from 36 regions around the US. The national student showcase will be streamed on Thursday, July 15th at 7:30 PM. The show will feature dynamic ensemble and solo performances and will culminate with two students presented with a Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor award with a total of 20 awards and scholarships available to participants.

NYSAF returns July 17-August 1 with in-person programming in Poughkeepsie for their 2021 Summer Season.  In partnership with Vassar College, Marist College, and Revel 32 °, NYSAF will serve the needs of theater and film artists today, bringing them safely together in community to generate new stories and reconnect with one another and audiences.

After what will be a 23-month intermission, The Muny's 103rd season will open with the Muny premiere of Smokey Joe's Cafe, followed by The Sound of Music, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, On Your Feet! and Chicago.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Rhinebeck Writers Retreat will host nine weeklong in-person residencies for 23 musical theatre writers of nine new musicals between June 27 and August 29.  Writers include Tony-nominee Beth Malone, Emily Saliers of Indigo Girls; Jonathan Larson winners Avi Amon, Sara Cooper, Ty Defoe, and Anna Jacobs and more.

The Henry Mancini Awards will return for 2021 as a virtual celebration of high school musical theatre in Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, and Mercer Counties on Saturday, May 22 at 7:00 PM. This is the first online event in the program's 27 year history.
