A special benefit performance of the hilarious, hit Broadway musical [title of show} where all funds will go directly to the charity Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Arizona's finest talent comes together to entertain, make you laugh and raise money for a great cause. The concert will take place on April 20th at 7:30 pm at the Stagebrush Theatre (7020 E. 2nd St., Scottsdale, AZ).

The modern day burlesque Broadway Bares heads back to the beach this May, kicking off the summer season with a sizzling edition of Broadway Bares Fire Island. Once again, the sexy men and women of Broadway Bares will return to Fire Island Pines, NY, for two performances, produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Show business' brightest stars memorialized one of their own yesterday, at A Tribute to Polly Bergen, at the American Airlines Theatre (227 W. 42nd Street). An Emmy Award-winning actress and singer, Ms. Bergen's career spanned more than six decades in films, TV, Broadway musicals and concerts. She passed away from natural causes September 20 at age 84. A Tribute to Polly Bergen, produced by Rex Reed and Michael Alden with creative consultant Deborah Grace Winer, celebrated her life and career with a star studded lineup of participants. They included Christine Andreas, Harry Belafonte, Arlene Dahl, Raul Esparza, Michael Feinstein, Gregory Harrison, Judith Ivey, Chris Matthews, Phyllis Newman, Kelli O'Hara and cast members from the 2001 revival of Follies.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presents a new Broadway production of the classic musical On the Twentieth Century starring Tony & Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, Golden Globe, SAG Award winner & Tony nominee Peter Gallagher, Tony nominee Andy Karl, Mark Linn-Baker, Tony winner Michael McGrath and Tony winner Mary Louise Wilson. On the Twentieth Century is choreographed by Tony winner Warren Carlyle and directed by six-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis, and features music by Cy Coleman, and book & lyrics by Betty ComdenandAdolph Green. On the Twentieth Century is based on plays by Ben Hecht, Charles MacArthur & Bruce Millholland. The original Broadway production was directed by Harold Prince.

The 29th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition, produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will be held at 4:30 PM on Monday, April 20, 2015, and at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Minskoff Theatre (200 West 45th Street, NYC), home to Disney's long-running smash hit musical The Lion King.

It's time to "shuffle up and deal" for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS with Broadway Bets, a first-of-its-kind Broadway poker tournament co-chaired by Paul Libin, executive vice president of Jujamcyn Theaters, and Robert E. Wankel, president and co-CEO of The Shubert Organization. Libin is president of BC/EFA's Board of Trustees and Wankel is a longtime trustee.

More of Broadway's best performers have joined the lineup for next month's 10th anniversary edition of Broadway Backwards. The one night only benefit will now include performances by Tony Award winners Lena Hall and Lillias White, Tony nominees Charles Busch, Mario Cantone, Robin de Jesus, Norm Lewis, LeeRoy Reams and Douglas Sills and favorites Telly Leung, Maureen McGovern and Micah Stock.

The National Touring Company of WICKED will host "THE WICKED ROCKY HORROR SHOW," a staged concert performance of Richard O'Brien's "The Rocky Horror Show," at The Fonda Theatre Monday, February 23, at 7:30 p.m. The event will feature the company of WICKED, and net proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Tickets for this event will go on sale to the public on Thursday, January 29th at 10am PT.
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Contributes Almost 200K to the Actors' Fund of Canada

Thanks to the fundraising efforts of the U.S.- based national touring companies of WICKED and THE BOOK OF MORMON, a total of $193,857 has been raised this fall for the Actors' Fund of Canada, the lifeline for Canada's entertainment industry. The money, raised by WICKED and THE BOOK OF MORMON company members as part of U.S.-based Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS fall 2014 fundraising campaign, will help support vulnerable members of the Canadian entertainment industry who are facing injury, illness or other crisis situations.
