More than a thousand women flew planes for the US Air Force during WWII. At 9:30pm on July 17th, songs from Sweetwater, the new musical inspired by these Women Airforce Service Pilots and their fight for a place in history, will debut in a one-night-only high-flying concert at Feinstein's/54 Below.

This July, Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

This June, Broadway babies Vasthy Mompoint (Rocky; The Spongebob Musical) and Jen Malenke (Into The Woods; Disney's High School Musical), the founders and creators of the much-needed industry service Broadway Babysitters, will release an album of children's lullabies entitled 'Broadway Lullabies.'

The Ridgefield Playhouse, Ridgefield Magazine Broadway and Cabaret Series and Pepsi Rock Series presents Jesus Christ Superstar - The Rock Opera on Saturday, March 25 at 2pm and 8pm and is partially underwritten by Adam Broderick Salon & Spa and Bart's Tree Service. Considered one of the most iconic musicals ever written, 'Jesus Christ Superstar' includes legendary hits such as 'Everything's Alright,' 'I Don't Know How To Love Him,' and 'Gethsemane.' This is a unique adaptation of the multiple Tony Award winning, and Laurence Olivier Award-nominated, classic Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice production and is produced by ACT of Connecticut.

Featuring a cast of Broadway stars alongside Broadway's finest rock band - The Ridgefield Playhouse, Ridgefield Magazine Broadway and Cabaret Series and Pepsi Rock Series presents Jesus Christ Superstar - The Rock Opera on Saturday, March 25 at 2pm and 8pm and is partially underwritten by Adam Broderick Salon & Spa and Bart's Tree Service.  

The Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, Connecticut, will present JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR on Saturday, March 25 at 2:00pm and 8:00pm. Produced by ACT of Connecticut, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is directed by Daniel C. Levine (Artistic Director of The Ridgefield Playhouse Broadway & Cabaret Series) and music directed by Bryan Perri (Broadway's WICKED), with casting by Craig Burns, CSA (Telsey + Company).

Just last night, producers Morgan James, Richard Amelius and Torya Beard presented a female-centered concert of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, directed by Richard Amelius (Time Between Us, Empty City), with musical direction by Julie McBride (Amazing Grace, Finding Neverland).

Adirondack Theatre Festival's (ATF) 22nd summer season continues with its CABARET SERIES featuring the return of THE UNCIVIL WAR in a special concert performance. This special event will feature an updated script and score, with changes made based on reactions of ATF audiences from last summer's performance, complete with multiple new songs and scenes. Performances will be held at the Charles R. Wood Theater (207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls) on the mainstage at 7:30pm. Tony Award-winner Lena Hall (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) will lead an industry reading of Citizen Ruth: An American Musical Comedy in New York City on Thursday, March 10, 2016. Based on the Miramax film, screenplay by Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor, Citizen Ruth features a book and lyrics by Mark Leydorf and music by Michael Brennan. The invite-only reading will precede an anticipated Off-Broadway run this summer.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Jose Llana (THE KING AND I), Ann Harada (AVENUE Q), Ali Ewoldt (THE KING AND I), and more will lead "Changing the Stats: Asian Americans on Broadway." The show will be a concert of excerpts from dream roles not traditionally cast with Asian American actors on Monday, November 2 at The Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Symphony Space.

Prospect Theater Company kicks off its 2015/16 IGNITE Series at The Times Center (242 W 41st Street), with a concert of works by Fred Ebb Award Winners Jeff Blumenkrantz, Marcy Heisler & Zina Goldrich, Michael Kooman & Christopher Dimond, Peter Mills, and Sam Wilmott, tonight, September 12 at 8pm.
