Casting has been announced for “Blues for an Alabama Sky” directed by Center Theatre Group's Associate Artist Phylicia Rashad at the Mark Taper Forum April 6 through May 8, 2022. Set in 1930's Harlem, this revival of Pearl Cleage's rich and beautiful work opens April 13, 2022.

Playwright Pearl Cleage's WHAT I LEARNED IN PARIS---now on stage at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa through March 19, 2022---takes place during the historic win of Atlanta's first black mayor in 1973 and focuses on a romantic triangle between a young campaign staffer and two much older men she works with at the election HQ.

The Alliance Theatre announces updates for its upcoming Kathy & Ken Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young programs. Performances of DO YOU LOVE THE DARK? will now run February 24 – March 13, 2022 in the Selig Family Black Box Theatre, and IN MY GRANNY'S GARDEN will be staged outdoors at the Woodruff Arts Center on Sifly Plaza March 31 – April 24, 2022.

This hilarious and irreverent new musical features a book by Tony and Emmy Award-winner John Leguizamo and Tony Taccone, music by Benjamin Velez, and lyrics by David Kamp, Velez, and Leguizamo.

Playwright Jeremy O. Harris' Tony-nominated Slave Play was set to arrive on the west coast next year as a part of Center Theatre Group's new season; however, the show may not run as planned. Harris writes in a tweet today that he is withdrawing the play from the season to make room for works from young, female playwrights.
