BWW Review: SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER at Stage Door Theatre

Stage Door Theatre presents the musical Saturday Night Fever featuring music and lyrics by the Bee Gees, and a book by Nan Knighton (in collaboration with Arlene Phillips, Paul Nicholas, and Robert Stigwood). The musical is based on both Nik Cohn's 1975 New York Magazine article 'Tribal Rites of the New Saturday Night', and the block-buster film that rocketed John Travolta to fame it inspired in 1977, Saturday Night Fever.

TOP HAT Comes to London for Strictly Limited Run

Geoids Musical Theatre have announced their new production, and the London amateur premier, of the musical Top Hat which comes to the Bridewell Theatre from 31 October to 4 November 2017.

Mark Goucher and David Ian Present Cheltenham Everyman Theatre Production of QUARTET

Following the West End revival last year of The Dresser, Mark Goucher is presenting Quartet. This will be the first production that the producer will mount in his new role as CEO of the Cheltenham Everyman Theatre. This Everyman Theatre production will then be presented on a UK tour by Mark Goucher and David Ian.

Natasha J Barnes to Lead Revival of TRYST

Natasha J Barnes, who famously took over to rave reviews from Sheridan Smith in Funny Girl in the West End will get her first starring role in a new production of Tryst by Karoline Leach.

What a deliciously exciting and provocative evening in the theatre! The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, adapted by Simon Stephens from Mark Haddon's novel, comes to vivid life as a play within a play with a fascinating array of visual effects, a dynamite ensemble and a remarkable performance by Adam Langdon under the skilled direction of Marianne Elliott. It graces the Ahmanson stage through September 10 only.

The Tony Award-winning new play by Simon Stephens is adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel and directed by Tony winner Marianne Elliott ('War Horse'). Performances will continue through September 10, 2017.

Adam Langdon to Lead 'CURIOUS INCIDENT' National Tour at the Ahmanson

Casting is set for the Los Angeles engagement of the National Theatre production of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" presented at Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre. The Tony Award-winning new play by Simon Stephens is adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel and directed by Tony winner Marianne Elliott ("War Horse"). "Curious Incident…" previews August 2, opens August 3 and continues through September 10, 2017.

Guest Blog: Director Adam Spreadbury-Maher On COMING CLEAN

I wanted to direct Coming Clean for the King's Head Theatre because I think it's a beautiful piece of work by a wonderful playwright. I'm astonished that it's not had a major London revival in the 35 years since the original production at the Bush Theatre and wanted, in the 50th anniversary month of the decriminalisation of homosexuality, to introduce it to a whole new generation.

Cast Announced for Revival of COMING CLEAN at King's Head

King's Head Theatre, London has announced casting for the 35th anniversary production of Coming Clean, Kevin Elyot's first play, directed by Artistic Director of King's Head Theatre, Adam Spreadbury-Maher.  The production, which will run at the King's Head Theatre from 25 July to 26 August 2017, with a press night on Friday 28 July, will star Lee Knight as Tony, Elliot Hadley as William/Jurgen, Tom Lambert as Robert and Jason Nwoga as Greg. 

CD Review: BLONDEL Original London Cast Album

It's been over 10 years since the comedy musical Blondel was last seen on stage in London and with a new production about to open at the Union Theatre, Stage Door Records has released the Original London Cast album as a timely reminder of the wonderfully wacky show.
