The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will mark their one-year anniversary with a series of unforgettable monologues. Twenty-four actors have been paired with twenty-four writers, who have crafted unique pieces especially for their actors. From 6 PM until 10 PM, new monologues will be published every 15 minutes.

Based on the acclaimed novel by Megan Abbott, who serves as writer and executive producer along with Gina Fattore, DARE ME is an unflinching exploration of teen angst, jealousy, loyalty and the dynamics of power in a small Midwestern town.

USA Network announced a series pickup for Dare Me from UCP in association with Film 44. Based on the acclaimed novel by Megan Abbott, who serves as writer and executive producer along with Gina Fattore (Dawson's Creek, Gilmore Girls, Californication”), Dare Me is an unflinching exploration of teen angst, jealousy, loyalty, and the dynamics of power in a small Midwestern town. Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights) and Michael Lombardo of Film 44, Sarah Condon and Karen Rosenfelt executive produce. Netflix will co-produce and have first-run rights to the series outside of the U.S.

On LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT's upcoming episode, 'Criminal Hatred,' the SVU detectives go undercover to arrest a man who targets and brutally attacks other men. They gather enough evidence for ADA Barba (Raul Esparza) to file charges, but the case begins to spiral as he contends with a deceptively tough defense attorney (guest star Vardalos.) Also starring Mariska Hargitay (Detective Olivia Benson), Ice-T (Detective Odafin Tutuola), Danny Pino (Detective Nick Amaro), and Kelli Giddish (Detective Amanda Rollins). Also guest starring Victoria Rowell ('The Young and The Restless') and Fred Norris ('The Howard Stern Show'). 'Criminal Hatred' airs Jan. 30 on NBC.

Berkshire Theatre Festival has announced additional casting for this summer's productions. The new cast members include Tony winners and nominees, multiple veterans of Broadway and Off Broadway as well as many returning BTF alumni. Husband and wife Stephen R. Buntrock and Erin Dilly will be working together on the world premiere of In the Mood. Jenny Powers and Angela Robinson have joined the cast of The Who's Tommy. Rachel Bay Jones of Broadway's Hair will take on the famed title character in Sylvia. Tony Winner Mia Dillon is joining Broadway and BTF alum C.J. Wilson and the previously announced Rebecca Brooksher in Tennessee Williams's serious comedy Period of Adjustment. Film actors Christian Coulson and Amari Cheatom will take on the world premiere two-hander Dutch Masters.
