"The next best thing to seeing the Beatles" (Associated Press), RAIN has been celebrating the Beatles note for note since the 1990s, and have performed for nearly 2 million people worldwide. The Harris Center welcomes them back with a new show: a tribute to "Abbey Road"-nearly 50 years after the album's release - plus an exceptional selection of Beatle favorites across their fabled career.

BWW Review: RAIN: 50 YEARS OF SGT. PEPPERS, London Palladium
by Debbie Gilpin - Oct 7, 2017

Fifty years ago, The Beatles changed the face of pop music when they released the iconic Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album. Billed by many as the first concept album, it marked a shift in focus to the recording studio from the live performance arena, as the frustrated band simply wanted their music to be heard. This, of course, meant that they would never perform these songs live - something that Rain have decided to put right.

BWW Review: RAIN Brings the Music and Magic of The Beatles LIVE to the Pantages!
by Shari Barrett - Apr 6, 2016

RAIN performs the full range of The Beatles' discography live onstage, a total of 36 songs on the night I attended. It's quite a treat going from The Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show through 'Let it Be' and 'Hey Jude,' two of the last songs the group recorded together, with each album time shift accompanied by costume and physical appearance changes by the group as well as many historical films/videos reflecting what was going on in the world at the time, from Vietnam to protests at home, their meditation trip to India, and the overall madness of screaming fans at Shea Stadium on 8-15-65.

BWW Previews: RAIN: A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES ON BROADWAY is Coming to Riverside's Fox PAC.
by Audrey Liebross - Mar 11, 2015

RAIN: A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES ON BROADWAY will appear in Riverside at Fox PACE at 7:30 p.m. on March 25th and March 26th, 2015. The members of the band Rain have studied the Beatles for twenty years and tour in concert, playing only Beatles music, and emulating the Beatles' style, key, rhythm, and harmonies, note for note. Rain has a repertoire of over 200 Beatle songs that they rotate at their concerts. Some of these pieces are so complex that the Beatles never performed them live, and included them only on their albums, where they could correct mistakes in a recording studio. The members of Rain do everything possible to replicate the look of their particular Beatle, even, for righties portraying Paul McCartney, learning to play the bass and guitar left-handed.

BWW Interviews: RAIN Tour Brings Beatles Tribute Show to PPAC
by Robert Barossi - Jun 17, 2014

It would be hard to argue that any musical group in the last century has had a more lasting impact than the Beatles. They are one of the most instantly recognizable and well-known bands in music history and have many of the most instantly recognizable and beloved songs in contemporary music. Those songs are still as popular and poweful today as they were when audiences first cheered and swooned for the band in the 1960s. Since then, there have been many tributes to the Beatles, including the smash hit Rain - A Musical Tribute To the Beatles. Now, this multi-media concert event which explores the lives and music of the fabulous foursome is rolling into Providence Performing Arts Center for one night only.
