Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s classic novel To Kill A Mockingbird officially opened last night at the Gielgud Theatre.

Barry Diller and Sonia Friedman today announce the extension of the critically acclaimed West End production of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird – a new play by Aaron Sorkin – with the production now running at the Gielgud Theatre until 19 November, 2022. 

Ahead of previews starting this Thursday 10 March, To Kill a Mockingbird today announces the launch of the All Rise ticket scheme in an exclusive partnership with TodayTix, offering £15 seats for every performance across the run.

Each piece of work was written and created in self isolation by 100 participating artists.

Today casting details were announced for the much anticipated world premiere production of Asking for It by Louise O'Neill produced by Landmark Productions and the Everyman and co-commissioned by the Abbey Theatre. This world premiere production will open at the Everyman as part of Cork Midsummer Festival on 15 June.

The ruined aftermath of a bloody civil war. Ruthlessly fighting to survive, the Macbeths are propelled towards the crown by forces of elemental darkness. Shakespeare's most intense and terrifying tragedy is directed by Rufus Norris 25 years after his last Shakespeare production.

We begin and end with a grisly decapitation. And that's rather the problem with this intermittently engaging Macbeth, which starts in the throes of some unspecified dystopian hellscape, and thus has nowhere to go.

Additional performances for Rufus Norris' production of Macbeth will go on sale on to the public on 26 January. The production will now play until 23 June, with all performances currently on sale sold out.

It was announced today that the world premiere production of Asking for It by Louise O'Neill will be performed on the Abbey stage next November. This much anticipated production is produced by Landmark Productions and the Everyman and co-commissioned by the Abbey Theatre. Conceived as a large-scale, technically ambitious production, it will be adapted for stage by Meadhbh McHugh in a collaboration with Annabelle Comyn, who also directs. The creative team also includes set designer Paul O'Mahony; lighting designer Sinead McKenna; sound designer Philip Stewart. Tickets for both venues are on sale now.
