Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, June 26 at 10:00am ET for SpongeBob SquarePants on Broadway at The Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway - Broadway at 47th Street). Preview performances begin Monday, November 6th with an official opening on Monday, December 4th.

The Old Globe welcomes Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, making his musical directing debut with RAIN, a sumptuous world premiere musical by one of the most significant teams working in theatre today: composer and lyricist Michael John LaChiusa and book writer Sybille Pearson. Based on the short story by Somerset Maugham, RAIN will play now through May 1, 2016 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Sara Bareilles, who saved the day at a recent preview of her new Broadway musical WAITRESS, has great news for the show's record-breaking audiences.

Audiences at tonight's preview of WAITRESS got to see a very special performance when part of the set for the diner stopped working. While the show was paused so that the crew could make the necessary adjustments - the show's Grammy nominated composer/lyricist Sara Bareilles got on stage to sing a cut song from the show as well as 'Part of Your World' - a Disney classic by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman.
