Sand Springs Community Theatre Set To Hold Auditions For QUILTERS 8/8-9
by
- Aug 8, 2009
Auditions are August 8-9, at their new location at Charles Page High School Performing Arts Auditorium - Park and Adams Road (turn North at Adams Road exit). Although the website says they will cast 7 women, they will probably cast more than that. The script is not set in stone for 7, so roll on out and come audition with them! This first show, as always, will be our fundraiser show, so it should be a lot of fun and a real crowd pleaser.

Review - Music In The Air: The Lullaby of Munich
by Kristin Salaky
- Feb 6, 2009
Although operetta wasn't completely on its way out when Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II brought Music In The Air to Broadway in 1932, the popularity of the genre was indeed waning a bit as jazzy and witty scores by the likes of George and Ira Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart and Cole Porter dominated the decade's theatre music.
