GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist Pat Benatar and trailblazing producer and performer Neil Giraldo will make their Wynn Las Vegas debut together this summer in their self-named, two-night engagement at Encore Theater on Aug. 2 and 3. The limited engagement of Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo will serve as part of the duo's upcoming tour, marking a celebration of the 40th Anniversary of their musical career. Tickets for both performances go on sale Friday, April 19 at 10 a.m. PDT.

The Triad Theater, Off-Broadway Theatre, presents Queen Diva in "Strength of a Woman: A Phyllis Hyman Tribute 70th Birthday Celebration" on Saturday, July 6, 2019. The 120 minute tribute celebration begins with Phyllis Hyman's Disco Hit produced by New York's Own James Mtume 'You Know How To Love Me,' to Duke Ellington's "Sophisticated Ladies Medley-Sophisticated Ladies, A Train, It Don't Mean A Thing, In A Sentimental Mood" to her pivotal vocal performance in Brooklyn's own Spike Lee's "School Daze" singing "Be One"  to her recording career beginning with Veteran Producer Norman Connors singing "Betcha By Golly Wow" to  her favorite songs "What You Won't Do For Love," to "Old Friend" a song she would dedicate to her numerous dear friends who died of AIDS in the late 1980's and early 1990's.

Oh my god, I have literally nothing to say about Les Miz. Well, maybe not nothing... not literally! It's not gonna be hard to throw these out, I'll tell you that much. I have so many freaking Les Miz CDs and they all take up so much space at two--even three--discs a pop. Decadence and dreams, Hollywood nights and hair bands, and Journey and jazz hands, it could be said that ROCK OF AGES is a party almost 40 years in the making. The Tenth Anniversary Tour of ROCK OF AGES opened at the Durham Performing Arts Center last night, marking the tour's 100th performance. The show tells the story of a wannabe rocker/barback named Drew and aspiring actress from the Midwest named Sherrie who meet, fall in love, break up, and live happily ever after in la-la land. While the whole storyline is formulaic and predictable, what makes this show work is the mashup of 80s music and some powerhouse vocals.

You could say that Katie LaMark has been ready to rock from the time she was a little girl. That's because she is a self-described 'studio kid' whose parents were both musicians. 'My mother is really the rocker of the two of them and my father is a much more disciplined, jazz piano player,' she says. 'I have a little bit of the discipline and a little bit of the edge.' And that diverse range has helped LaMark in her career. Her first big show was the 20th Anniversary Tour of RENT, in which she played Maureen. That production played the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) in 2016.

Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo have been making music together for four decades. Pat and Neil met each other in 1979 in a small rehearsal room at SIR Studios in New York City. The rest as they say "is history."
