Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced the concert-theater performance of Joplin's Pearl featuring Amber Ferrari on Saturday, March 21, at 8 p.m. at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor. The Janis Joplin tribute concert is being presented in conjunction with Hamptons Arts Network's 2020 THAW Fest. Jamie Cesa and Bel Chiasso Entertainment will present an invite-only industry workshop of the new Broadway-bound musical, THE ROMEO & JULIET PROJECT, featuring the music of Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, with the book by Bradley Bredeweg, music direction & arrangements by Jesse Vargas, and choreography by Lauren & Christopher Grant. The workshop will be directed by Scott Schwartz. The presentations will take place in NYC on May 12th, 14th & 15th.

The Renaissance Theatre will present Broadway's biggest celebration of the music of the '80s on March 7-8 and 14-15, 2020 with its production of Rock of Ages. Rock of Ages is part of the Richland Bank Broadway Series.

Eddie Star will be performing in the elevated, staged reading of Philip Paul Kelly's new musical 'Rockquiem For A Wrestler,' which will take place at the Triad Theater on May 3, 2020, at 4 pm. The musical inspired by the life of champion wrestler Ivan Koloff features compositions from Star's catalog and songwriter Paul Castrataro (The Portrait of Dorian Gray, Fags & Cellphones, Black Iris).

Little Steven, aka Steven Van Zandt, is commemorating today's 30th anniversary of Nelson Mandela's historic release from a South African prison after 27 years in captivity with the announcement that his 1985 landmark protest album, Sun City, by Artists United Against Apartheid, the extraordinary supergroup brought together by Van Zandt, producer Arthur Baker and journalist Danny Schechter to fight racial injustice in South Africa, will be released on vinyl for the first time since its initial release 35 years ago. The long-out-of-print LP joins five additional classic albums from Van Zandt making all of Little Steven's records from his early career once again available on vinyl.
