The Farm Theater announces their 2016 season, which will include six new installments of the popular bi-monthly Bullpen Sessions, workshops on play development and auditing for grad school, the College Collaboration Project with playwright Micheline Auger at the University of West Florida and Centre College in KY, the Barnstorming Project with playwright Christopher Gabriel Núñez and the Maryland Area Community College Performing Arts Collective, and World Premiere plays by Vickie Tanner and Lindsay Joy. 

Off The Desk (Tales of A Mediocre Stockbroker) written and performed by Chris Foley will begin atWorkShop Theater Main Stage starting January 20th. Padraic Lillis directs.

Stable Cable Lab Co. will present Max Baker's un-romantic comedy, Because Me. The production will play a limited engagement at the Wild Project (195 East 3rd Street between Avenues A and B) October 28-November 7. Performances will be October 29, 30, & 31, November 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7 at 7:30pm, Saturday, October 31 & November 7 at 2pm, and Monday, November 2 at 1pm. Tickets ($2-$20) can be purchased in advance at www.stablecablelabco.org or by calling OvationTix at(866) 811-4111. Tickets are being sold on a sliding scale, with the price increasing $2 every performance day. 

With over 200 shows presented at FringeNYC Festival and 900 at Edinburgh Fringe, it's hard to be in the know about what's worth seeing. Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, the Fringe Encore Series will present some of the most critically-acclaimed and crowd-pleasing shows from both festivals. Sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll take center stage in a one-woman play. 'Lucky Chick' depicts the story of Felicity, a New York City teenager who was plucked from the audience of a Grateful Dead concert and became the underage girlfriend of Bob Weir - the guitarist of the band.

As a part of FringeNYC from tonight, August 15, through August 27, former South Bronx public school drama teacher Karen Sklaire's empowering solo show RIPPLE OF HOPE: One Teacher's Journey to Make an Impact will have performances at the White Box Studio (440 Lafayette St.). Sklaire is currently a Drama teacher at PS2 in Manhattan and the show chronicles her trials and tribulations of being an advocate of the arts in our public schools.

Lucky Chick has been selected to be part of the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC). Written by and starring Felicity Seidel, the solo show is a comedic story of how a young girl got swept up into a crazy drug and sex-fueled world alongside her older boyfriend, Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead.
