Lucky Chick has been selected to be part of the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC). Written by and starring Felicity Seidel, the solo show is a comedic story of how a young girl got swept up into a crazy drug and sex-fueled world alongside her older boyfriend, Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead.

Premiere Stages at Kean University will launch its much-anticipated 10th Anniversary Season with a free staged reading of Vincent Delaney's fascinating new play, The Ansel Intimacy, June 20 - 22 in Kean's Murphy Dunn Theatre. Selected from over 400 submissions, The Ansel Intimacy is the first of two scripts scheduled for expanded development as part of the 2014 Premiere Stages Play Festival. The Festival is an annual competition for unproduced scripts by playwrights with ties to the greater metropolitan area (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut), and perfectly embodies the theatre's passionate and longstanding commitment to supporting emerging artists through the development and production of new plays. Mr. Delaney has received an honorarium and the opportunity to further develop his play through a professional, 29-hour rehearsal process culminating in three public readings. The Ansel Intimacy, directed by Padraic Lillis, will feature Eric Troy Miller as Tate, Scott Hudson as Ansel, and Kelley O'Donnell as Iris.

More than 130 one-person shows will participate in this year's annual United Solo, the world's largest festival of solo theatre. The event will take place between September 18 and November 23 at New York City's Theatre Row on 42nd Street, where United Solo is a resident company. The Festival has grown five times since its inaugural run in 2010; it began as a two-week-long event and will span over ten weeks this year.

The results of the workshop production - including the actors' experience with the work, the aesthetics of the director and designers, and the audience's feedback - will be invaluable to the development of this new play. The Farm Theater announces Training Camp 2014, a program that focuses on the development of pre-professional and early career theater artists. Training Camp will be held at Elmira College on August 4 through August 10. The Farm is seeking a diverse ensemble of sixteen theater artists to participate in this weeklong intensive, which will include classes in acting, writing, ensemble collaboration, and directing.
