Magic at the Musicals with Celebrity Cruises returns to the beautiful surroundings of London's Royal Albert Hall on Friday 10th May, with a brand new line-up of leading cast member performances from the West End's most celebrated shows.

Livewire Festival has announced that the Sunday evening slot will be a musical extravaganza, titled 'From Movies To Musicals' bringing some of the UK's most beloved musical stars to the famous seaside resort for the August bank holiday in 2019. Ben Forster, John Owen-Jones, Kerry Ellis, Ruthie Henshall, and more yet to be announced will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

Some of the world's most talented musical theatre stars, from Broadway and the West End, will unite this summer as part of West End Proms - an evening of beautiful live music, complete with a stunning 32-piece orchestra.

John Owen-Jones is best known for two distinctive roles - Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera. He had played Jean Valjean on the West End, Broadway, and in the 25th Anniversary International Tour productions of Les Mis, becoming the youngest actor to play the role when he first took it on at age 26. Owen-Jones was also at one the time the longest running Phantom in the London production of the show, but his record has since been passed. Despite having playing these two definitive roles, John Owen-Jones has an incredible range as an actor and a singer, something that he showcases on his new album, Spotlight.

For 16 weeks only Michael Ball (Javert), Alfie Boe (Jean Valjean), Carrie Hope Fletcher (Fantine) and Matt Lucas (Thenardier) will lead a large cast and orchestra of over 65 in the concert version of Les Miserables. Book tickets here!

Cameron Mackintosh today (6 February 2019) announces that for 16 weeks only Michael Ball (Javert), Alfie Boe (Jean Valjean),Carrie Hope Fletcher (Fantine) and Matt Lucas (Thénardier) will lead a large cast and orchestra of over sixty-five in the concert version of Les Misérables.  Katy Secombe also joins to play Madame Thénardier and for three performances a week, the role of Jean Valjean will be played by John Owen-Jones.  Further casting will be announced shortly.

Troupe today announces the transfer of the Off West End Award-nominated The Sweet Science of Bruising to Wilton's Music Hall, following its sold-out run at Southwark Playhouse last year. As a Victorian music hall, Wilton's offers a new authenticity to the play which follows four female boxers in 1869. The production opens on 7 June, with previews from 5 June, and runs until 29 June.
