After 23 years and 37 productions, Hudson Stage producers Denise Bessette and Olivia Sklar have decided it’s time they gave themselves some well-deserved R&R.

Latino Theater Company presents a poignant new comedy by multiple award-winning resident playwright Evelina Fernández (A Mexican Trilogy, The Mother of Henry). LTC artistic director José Luis Valenzuela directs the world premiere of Sleep with the Angels, set to run May 27 through June 26 at The Los Angeles Theatre Center. Low-priced previews begin May 19.

Pasadena Playhouse has announced casting and creative team for the Los Angeles premiere of the Richard Nelson, Richard Pevear, and Larissa Volokhonsky translation of Uncle Vanya by Anton Chekhov coming to the Playhouse June 1 through June 26; the press opening is Sunday, June 5 at 5 p.m. 

Now, The B-52s are gearing up to return to the road one last time and are announcing a farewell tour that will kick off this summer. Their North American farewell tour will visit 11 cities across the U.S., kicking off August 22th in Seattle. KC and The Sunshine Band and The Tubes are set to make special guest appearances on select dates.

Riots.

Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts has announced the line-up of performers who will take the stage during the ninth annual Future Stages Festival. This free community event highlights diverse youth performing artists from the Kansas City region. Performance groups were selected through an application process and represent a variety of performing arts disciplines.
