Celebrating the 20th birthday of the much-loved picture book, Tall Stories' hit musical adaptation THE GRUFFALO live on stage returns, with a UK tour and limited ten-week West End season at The Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue from Wednesday 3 July to Sunday 8 September 2019.

Tall Stories (Gruffalo, New Vic 2015 & 2004; The Snail and the Whale, New Vic 2014, Snow White, New Vic 2003) returns with an imaginative musical adventure based on the much-loved book by Cressida Cowell (How to Train your Dragon) and Neal Layton. Tall Stories returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year with two Oscar Wilde adaptations, including the World Premiere of 'THE CANTERVILLE GHOST' and the Edinburgh premiere of 'WILDE CREATURES'. The shows play in rep at Pleasance Courtyard from 1-26 August 2018.

Olivier award nominated and renowned theatre company Tall Stories celebrates its 21st birthday in 2018 with a stellar year of productions including a brand new show for grown-ups. The 1997 Edinburgh Fringe saw the premiere of the company's first show, 'The Happy Prince and Other Stories', adapted from Oscar Wilde's fairy tales. 21 years later, the company returns to the Edinburgh Fringe with two distinctive Wilde adaptations: the world premiere of 'THE CANTERVILLE GHOST' (definitely not suitable for under 12s) and the Edinburgh premiere of 'WILDE CREATURES' (for ages 5 and over) - straight from London's West End.

Tall Stories are back as part of Vaudeville Theatre's celebration of Oscar Wilde. They condense the author's fairy tales in Wilde Creatures, exploring morality in a show tailor-made for young audiences.

Olivia Jacobs is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Tall Stories, a registered charity internationally recognised for their high-quality family theatre. Olivia has directed shows in the West End, on Broadway, and at the Sydney Opera House, including multiple tours of The Gruffalo. This year, the company celebrates their 20th anniversary and presents a new show called Wilde Creatures that combines several of Oscar Wilde's fairy stories as part of Dominic Dromgoole's year-long Oscar Wilde celebration at the Vaudeville Theatre.

Award-winning UK author Cressida Cowell's heart-warming tale Emily Brown and The Thing will be brought to life at Arts Centre Melbourne Fairfax Studio this summer from 3 - 14 January, 2018.

Internationally acclaimed theatre company Tall Stories today announces that The Gruffalo's Child is to follow in her father's giant footsteps with a Christmas season in the West End!

We first came across Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's now much-loved book The Gruffalo in 1999, the year it was published. My co-artistic director Toby was working as an editor for Macmillan Children's Books (the Gruffalo publishers), and we thought it was a brilliant story that might work well on stage for children aged 3+ and their grown-ups.

Currently enjoying its 15th anniversary at the Lyric Theatre, where it runs until 8 January, The Gruffalo Live returns to South Africa this December. The national tour follows on from a sell-out run at the Cape Town Fringe where the production made its debut this September. This also marked the first time Tall Stories' smash-hit production had been staged on the African continent. Having previously toured to over 500 venues across the globe, The Gruffalo Live first opened on 12 May 2001 at Chester Gateway theatre and since then has performed in 15 countries and 6 continents, played twice at the Sydney Opera House, twice on Broadway, once at the National Theatre and is now in its ninth West End season.

Get ready for a 'whale of a time' at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) this summer as the charming stage production, The Snail and the Whale comes to the Cremorne Theatre from Friday 6 to Sunday 22 January 2017 as part of the QPAC SummerSet program.

THE GRUFFALO seems to have done brisk business at the Cape Town Fringe and is sure to have a life on South African stages beyond this initial engagement, with an isiXhosa version already lined up for next year. It will be fascinating to see how this process of translation plays out as the next entry into this franchise's commodities is developed.

This July everyone's favourite furry monster roars back into the West End in celebration of his 15th anniversary on stage! The show returns to the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue from 6 July and has just extended through to 8 January 2017, forming a huge part of this year's West End calendar.

The production is the work of UK company Tall Stories, creators of the Gruffalo and Room on the Broom stage shows.
