BAFTA Breakthrough selects and identifies new talent through a cross-industry jury of leading professionals and BAFTA works closely alongside local cultural bodies in each region to ensure they offer expertise and deliver the necessary support.

The film is directed by Pixar veteran Jean-Philippe Vine (story artist on “Cars 3” and “The Good Dinosaur”) and Locksmith co-founder Sarah Smith (“Arthur Christmas”)  with Octavio Rodriguez (story artist on “Coco” and “The Incredibles 2”) co-directing.

After opening the Footprints Festival with Biyi Bandele's Two Horsemen Street Theatre headlines June with Lucy Betts' acclaimed production of Ade Morris's Lone Flyer.  First staged at The Watermill Theatre last October, the production will run from 8 June to 3 July, playing to socially distanced live audiences as well as being streamed online.    

Amazon Prime Video and National Theatre have today announced a collaboration which will see four productions filmed by the National Theatre broadcast exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in the UK and Ireland from 11 June. 

The Cantonese production of Le Père opened at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre on Thursday 20th May. The play was originally scheduled to play in July & August 2020, but due to the pandemic, the play sadly had to cancel right after the set had been completed.

THE SIMPSONS is a Gracie Films Production in association with 20th Television. James L. Brooks, Matt Groening and Al Jean are the executive producers. The Gracie Films Worldwide Brand Division develops and produces the licensed content for the series.

The 2012 play, written and directed by Zeller, had its premiere in Paris, winning a Moliere Award for best play.

Viola Davis and the late Chadwick Boseman were nominated for their Leading Actor roles in 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom,' the Netflix film adaptation of the 1982 play by August Wilson. The film was also nominated for Best Costumes, Best Makeup and Hairstyling.

The Son focuses on Peter (Hugh Jackman) as his busy life with new partner Emma and their baby is thrown into disarray when his ex-wife Kate (Laura Dern) turns up with their teenage son, Nicholas.

Following a year without live in-person audiences, Jermyn Street Theatre, winner of the 2021 Stage Award for Fringe Theatre of the Year, will light up again this May as it launches a three month celebration of drama, music, poetry and comedy.  

Viola Davis and the late Chadwick Boseman were also honored with nominations for their roles in the film adaptation of August Wilson's 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom'; the whole ensemble cast was also nominated in the aforementioned cast category.

Horrible Histories and Alan Partridge star, writer and actor Katherine Jakeways will join Ian Hallard and Sara Crowe in the cast of Hallard’s lockdown dating comedy, Adventurous, which is to be streamed online by Jermyn Street Theatre later this month.
