Casting Announced For IS GOD IS at the Royal Court Theatre in September

Vivienne Acheampong, Adelayo Adedayo, Ray Emmet Brown, Ernest Kingsley Jnr, Tamara Lawrance, Rudolphe Mdlongwa, Mark Monero and Cecilia Noble have been cast in the UK premiere of Is God Is written by Aleshea Harris and directed by Royal Court Associate Director Ola Ince. 

BWW Review: ROMEO & JULIET, Globe Theatre

Shakespeare is such a constant in the theatrical cannon that there is often a desire to do something innovative with his work. Reinventing the Bard can provoke an eye-roll or two and Director Ola Ince’s new version of Romeo & Juliet at the Globe will certainly divide audiences. Ince choses to show the play from the aspect of mental health issues; the couple choose to die because they are mentally afflicted, rather than because they are in love.

Casts Announced For Upcoming Shows KLIPPIES and AI at the Young Vic

Klippies is Jessica Sian's acclaimed coming-of-age drama about an unlikely friendship and the intensity of first love set in modern day Johannesburg, and AI is a new play by Genesis Fellow and Young Vic Associate Director Jennifer Tang and Company, created using a deep-learning system to generate human-like dialogue and script.

Photo Flash: First Look at ROMEO & JULIET at Shakespeare's Globe

The production is directed by Ola Ince and starring Alfred Enoch and Rebekah Murrell. This performance will be Live Streamed on the 10 July and 7 August, 7pm and will include a Midnight Matinee performance on 17 July, 23.59pm

Shakespeare's Globe Reopens Outdoor Theatre From 19 May

Shakespeare's Globe is preparing to reopen its outdoor theatre on 19 May 2021. Provided the conditions are met for Step 3 of the Government's roadmap for cultural reopening, the Globe will be welcoming audiences in for socially distanced performances, having closed on 18 March 2020.

Cast Announced For LIVING NEWSPAPER

Michele Austin, Natalie Dew, Georgie Fellows, Zainab Hasan, Camille Mallet de Chauny, Rebekah Murrell, Amaka Okafor, Kimberley Okoye, Alexzandra Sarmiento, Irfan Shamji, Sophie Stone, Ragevan Vasan and Danny Lee Wynter have been cast in Edition 1 of the Royal Court Theatre's Living Newspaper: A Counter Narrative.  

Writers For Edition 1 Of LIVING NEWSPAPER Announced

From December over 60 writers will be involved in the creation of the Royal Court Theatre's upcoming project Living Newspaper: A Counter Narrative, a weekly live newspaper running over six weeks which will see the theatre reopen since its closure in March.

National Theatre Releases New Podcast Series THAT BLACK THEATRE PODCAST

The National Theatre is launching a new Podcast Series: That Black Theatre Podcast. Hosted by Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded PhD Student, Nadine Deller the podcast is a partnership between the National Theatre, The Royal Central School for Speech and Drama, University of London and the AHRC London Arts and Humanities Partnership.

BWW Review: UNPRECEDENTED - EPISODE ONE, BBC iPlayer

A week before lockdown was announced, some of our greatest playwrights were asked to write stories exploring every aspect of human life and interaction during the coronavirus pandemic.
