Here For Now Theatre Company is bringing the world premiere of Mark Weatherley's (Framed, Lighthouse/HFN) new play Whack! to Stratford this October.

The North American tour of Jimmy Buffett's ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE is getting ready to hit the road! The musical will star Chris Clark as Tully, Sarah Hinrichsen as Rachel, Shelly Lynn Walsh as Tammy, Peter Michael Jordan as Brick, Rachel Lyn Fobbs as Marley, Patrick Cogan as J.D. and Matthew James Sherrod as Jamal/Ted.

Paper Mill Playhouse will soon present the New Jersey premiere of Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz. Chasing Rainbows features a book by Marc Acito, musical adaptation & additional music by David Libby and conceived by and additional lyrics by Tina Marie Casamento. Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz begins performances Thursday, September 26, 2019, and will continue through Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Paper Mill Playhouse (22 Brookside Drive, Millburn, NJ).

Tony Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Denis O'Hare will star in Eric Rosen's film NETUSER, about Peter Sardovski, an activist whose life unravels when a nightmare about political violence turns true. Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Award nominee Claybourne Elder plays his husband who struggles to prevent Peter's compulsion from endangering their young son. Two time Tony Award nominee Johanna Day will play his sister-in-law, a NYPD detective who struggles to shield her brother's family from danger.  The film also features Tatiana Wechsler as Peter's editor Jenny.

The Grammy award-winning Tuareg musicians Tinariwen are still a desert band, only certain aspects of which the western music industry can ever hope to capture and present. Tinariwen existed long before any of their albums were recorded and their existence is still quite distinct from their discographic dimension. So, the best Tinariwen album doesn't exist. But it's still worth trying to go and find it.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced today that 15 young professionals have been awarded fellowships for the 2019-20 season. Theatre graduates from universities across the nation apply for this program that provides a year-long deep dive into the operations of the award-winning theatre. Fellowships cover a variety of artistic and administrative disciplines and provide specialized training that assists fellows with embarking on a professional career in the arts. Additionally, fellows participate in career development seminars, build professional contacts, and even serve as mentors themselves for Berkeley Rep's annual Teen One-Acts Festival.

Deadline reports that Lifetime's scripted drama 'American Princess' has been canceled after one season. The series was executive produced by 'Orange is the New Black' creator Jenji Kohan. Jamie Denbo creative, wrote, and executive produced.

Amadjar - the new album from the Grammy award-winning Tuareg musicians Tinariwen, coming out September 6 – was recorded in southern Morocco, accompanied by an old camper van that was converted into a makeshift studio. Every evening, the caravan stopped to set up camp and the members of Tinariwen got to work under the stars to prepare for the recording, talking things through, letting their guitar motifs, thoughts and long buried songs come. Then, during a final two-week camp in the desert around Nouakchott, the band, joined by The Mauritanian griotte Noura Mint Seymali and her guitarist husband, Jeiche Ould Chigaly, recorded their songs under large tent in a few live takes, without headphones or effects.

Rita Donatella is a struggling wannabe actress working in a science lab and donning the white coat.  She's 'analyzing feces inside a rat' and declares 'I'm not loving that.'  Her agent calls and her dreams are finally realized.  She's going to star in a movie with an A-list actor.  Waiting For Johnny Depp is a semi-autobiographical musical comedy chronicling the perilous world of self-absorption and career angst.

Marin Shakespeare's SPAMALOT is an altogether delightful and uproariously zany production that has their audiences laughing almost non-stop throughout the show. Playing its final week now through August 25, SPAMALOT is a not-to-be-missed, hugely enjoyable show.

Stephen Amell is set to star in Heels, an hourlong drama set in the outrageous world of independent professional wrestling, according to Deadline. The project has received a series greenlight and an eight-episode order.

Sauce, a new dark comedy from the winner of Fishamble New Writing Award Ciara Elizabeth Smyth (All Honey – Dublin Fringe Festival 2017) and First Fortnight Award winner Camille Lucy Ross (Big Bobby, Little Bobby – Dublin Fringe Festival 2016) premiering at this year's Dublin Fringe Festival.
