On Tuesday, September 22, 2009, The Broadway League and the Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) will present 'Broadway Salutes,' a unique public celebration honoring the myriad of artists who have made Broadway great for decades - with special recognition for those individuals who have worked 25, 35 and 50 years in their respective theatrical craft.

2010 Tony Awards to Be Held on June 13, 2010

The American Theatre Wing's 64th Annual Antoinette Perry 'Tony' Awards will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 13, 2010 (8:00-11:00 p.m., live EST) on the CBS Television Network. The awards honor theatre professionals and distinguished achievement on Broadway. The cut-off for nomination eligibility on the 2009-2010 Broadway Season will be April 29, 2010.

LIVE BROADCAST To Be Presented At 2009 NYC Fringe Festival Beginning 8/15

Live Broadcast, a play by John William Schiffbauer, will be presented at the 13th Annual New York International Fringe Festival, a production of The Present Company. Erica Ruff will produce the presentation, which will be directed by Melissa Attebery. The cast will feature Andrea Day, Kyle Knauf, Amanda Brooke Lerner, and John William Schiffbauer. Live Broadcast was previously work-shopped as part of the Manhattan Repertory Theatre's Fall Play Festival in October 2008.

The 2008 Broadcast of the 62nd Annual Tony Awards Nabs Two Emmy Noms

The June 2008 broadcast of the 62nd Annual Tony Awards was honored today with two Prime Time Emmy Award nominations in the Outstanding Special Class Programs Category & Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special Category. The nominations were announced live this morning from the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood by actors Chandra Wilson and Jim Parsons.

'First Night Press List' Journalists No Longer to Vote for Tony Awards

The Tony Awards sent a notice out today to journalists who currently reside on the Broadway League's 'First Night Press List' (those who are invited to see productions just prior to opening night) that they'll no longer be eligible to vote for the Tony Awards beginning with the 2009-2010 season.

Tony Awards to 'Retire' Special Theatrical Event Category

The Tony Awards® will retire the Special Theatrical Event category beginning with the 2009-2010 season. This rule was approved by the Tony Awards Administration and Management Committees this week.

63rd Annual Tony Awards To Simulcast Live In Times Square 6/7

The 63rd Annual Tony Awards will be one of the first events to take place in the newly re-designed Times Square. The Tony Awards will be simulcast in its entirety from Radio City Music Hall, to the Clear Channel Spectacolor Screen in Times Square, live on Sunday, June 7th from 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
