Queens Theatre (QT) and its resident theatre company, Titan Theatre Company, join forces to present a soaring, WORLD PREMIERE adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic A CHRISTMAS CAROL adapted by Titan Literary Director Emily Trask and Titan Artistic Director Lenny Banovez. A CHRISTMAS CAROL will play a two week limited engagement at Queens Theatre (14 United Nations Avenue South, Flushing Meadows Corona Park). SWINGTIME CANTEEN, a musical by Linda Thorsen Bond, William Repicci, and Charles Busch, will open July 4th for a limited run at the Cherry Lane Studio Theatre. This five woman musical takes place on stage at a concert for the Eighth U.S. Air Force in 1944 and pays tribute to the USO and all of the wonderful vintage classics from that time. SWINGTIME CANTEEN plans to assist service members who have been injured in the line of duty. Some proceeds from the show will be donated to the nonprofit organization Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), and will support a full range of programs and services for this generation of injured veterans and their families.
