Titan's 'MIDSUMMER' to Return for Encore Run this Fall; Cast & Creative Team Confirmed

By: Sep. 02, 2014

Titan Theatre Company, New York's premier professional repertory theatre company, and Producer Kevin Beebee announced today that the company's sold-out, critically acclaimed, award-winning 2013 production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, where audiences pulled actor roles out of a hat each night just seconds prior to show time, will return to New York City for a limited encore run starting October 3, 2014. Performances of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM will run through October 12, 2014 at Queens Theatre in the Park where Titan Theatre Company was recently named the venue's company in residence. Tickets for A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.TitanMidsummer.com.

"We never would have dreamed that our MIDSUMMER last year would have been as successful as it was," said Titan Theatre Company Managing Director and Producer Kevin Beebee. "On the heels of last year's sold out run, we had audiences clamoring for more and we knew we needed to do the show again. We are so proud and honored to take residency at Queens Theatre; so much so that we wanted to continue the show's success in Queens with our newly named resident company."

In Titan's MIDSUMMER, nine of New York City's best classical actors take on 16 roles in Shakespeare's uproarious comedy of sly sprites, rude mechanicals and confused lovers with one catch: no one will know their roles until the audience picks them from Puck's hat just seconds before each show begins.

Adapted and Directed by Titan Theatre Company Artistic Director Lenny Banovez, the cast of Titan Theatre Company's Fall 2014 run of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM will feature Titan Theatre professional resident actors and original MIDSUMMER company members Jonathan Finnegan (Actors' Theatre of Louisville), Laura Frye (Virginia Shakespeare, Illinois Shakespeare), Sean Hudock ("Private Romeo," Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey), Gregory Isaac (Chicago Shakespeare, Steppenwolf), Lloyd Mulvey (Milwaukee Rep, Utah Shakespeare), Emily Trask (Twelfth Night at Folger Theater, Yale Rep, Utah Shakespeare). New to the cast are Nathan Crocker as Puck, Jonathan Hicks and Annie Paul. Bailey Seeker, Nicholas Sotack and Andrew Mazer will understudy.

The creative team for the encore run is comprised of Alan Piotrowicz (lighting design), Scott Frost (costume design), Anna Grace Carter (sound design), Alexis Black (fight choreography), Jasmine Nicole Roberts (scenic design and technical direction), Mary Gunther (assistant director), Alyssa Van Gorder (stage management) and Gabby Acquaviva (production assistant). The production is produced by Titan Theatre Company managing director Kevin Beebee and the late Leonard Banovez, Sr.

Queens Theatre in the Park is nestled on the grounds of the historic World's Fair, located at 14 United Nations Ave S in Queens, New York. A complimentary shuttle to the theatre is available to patrons from the Mets-Willets Point stop on the 7 train.

Tickets and more information can be found at TitanTheatreCompany.com and QueensTheatre.org.
