Titan Theatre Company announced today that it will offer a limited block of $12 early-bird tickets to the final production in its critically acclaimed, award-winning second season, Shakespeare's epic masterpiece King Lear. The production, which stars Broadway vet Terry Layman in the title role and is made possible through a generous grant from the Queens Council for the Arts, will run April 25-May 11, 2014 at the Queens Theatre, the borough's premiere performing arts venue, located in beautiful Flushing Meadows Park. $12 early-bird discount tickets (regularly $18) are available to patrons now through April 7, 2014. Simply visit www.TitanTheatreCompany.com, click "Get Tickets Now," select a performance, and enter code TITANTIX.

"At Titan we're passionate about infusing the classics with accessibility, invention and adventure, so naturally we're very excited to have this opportunity to invite patrons to join us in our new home at the amazing Queens Theatre for this searing new take on Shakespeare's masterwork King Lear, all for less than the cost of a movie ticket," said Titan Theatre Managing Director and Producer Kevin Beebee.

King Lear, which is both an intimate family drama about an aging king and his three daughters and an explosive political drama, marks the final production in Titan's critically acclaimed, award winning second season - a season that included Titan's hit-take on A Midsummer Night's Dream where audiences drew actor roles from a hat at the start of each show. Midsummer will transfer Off-Broadway in Fall 2014.

Titan Theatre Company Artistic Director Lenny Banovez, who previously helmed Titan's hit productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet and Henry V, will direct.

Banovez surrounds Terry Layman's "Lear" with a stellar cast including Titan Company members Brendan Marshall-Rashid (Steppenwolf, Goodman Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare) Laura Frye (Virginia Shakespeare, Teatro Franco Parenti) Tristan Colton (Shakespeare Theatre of NJ), Jonathan Matthew Finnegan (Actors Theatre of Louisville, St. Louis Rep) Lloyd Mulvey (Utah Shakespeare, Milwaukee Rep), Jonathan Hicks(Milwaukee Rep, Chicago Shakespeare) and Michael Selkirk (WorkShop Theatre) as well as Titan Alums Brad Makarowski, Susan Maris, R. Scott Williams and Titan newcomers Greg Oliver Bodine, John Phillips, Bailey Seeker, Leah Gabriel, John Patrick Driscoll, Angela Kriese, Jamie Jung, and Nicholas Sotack.

Additional creative team also includes: Scott Frost (Costume Design), Weston Wetzel (Lighting/Sound Design), Jasmine Nicole (Set Design) Jonathan Hicks (Fight Choreography), Jesse Michael Mothershed (Speech & Text), and Matt Van Slyke (Stage Management).

King Lear is produced by Titan Theatre Company Managing Director Kevin Beebee. The production is made possible (in part) by the Queens Council on the Arts with funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. King Lear is an Equity Approved showcase.

Tickets for King Lear are onsale now and can be purchased online at www.TitanTheatreCompany.com or www.QueensTheatre.org.
