The League of Professional Theatre Women Kicks Off New Season on September 13

With its continuing mission to support women theatre makers and creators through discourse, resources, and mentorship, the League of Professional Theatre Women (www.theatrewomen.org) will kick off its 39th season on Monday, September 13 at 7 pm with a free virtual event, open to all League members and women interested in future League membership.

These popular Broadway shows and iconic sets will be seen like never before in the new pop-up installation opening September 17, 2021 at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts in Lincoln Center, thanks to artist Henry Lee of Lego Broadway Sets. Brick By Brick, Putting It Together: The Broadway Set Miniatures of Henry Lee showcases Lee's intricate, miniature reimaginings of set designs built with LEGO® bricks. 

Museum of Broadway Will Open in Times Square in Summer 2022

At the heart of the experience, guests will travel through a visual history of Broadway from its birth to the present day highlighting theater's pioneers, landmark moments of social change, and many of the most beloved plays and musicals of all time.

Lincoln Center will present Continuum at Jaffe Drive by Nick Kendall on Thursday, August 19, and Friday, August 20, 2021 at 7pm ET at The Stage at Jaffe Drive.

Baayork Lee is having a whirlwind week and BroadwayWorld is always happy to report on the legend, who just keeps adding feathers to her already overflowing hat of accomplishments. The big news, recently, is that LaDuca, the legendary maker of shoes for dancers, released THE ONE, created for Ms. Lee in honor of the iconic musical, A CHORUS LINE, and her part in keeping alive the legend of Michael Bennett and the extraordinary choreography and staging of the historic Pulitzer Prize and TONY winning musical.

Jason Robert Brown, Savion Glover, Priscilla López & More Join NYPL's I'M STLL HERE Benefit

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts announced today that Jason Robert Brown, Savion Glover, Priscilla López, Susan Stroman, Marisha Wallace, and Christopher Wheeldon have joined the growing list of Broadway stars participating in I'm Still Here: A Virtual Benefit for the Billy Rose Theatre Division, airing June 23, 2021 on Broadway On Demand at 8pm EST and 8pm PST. The fundraiser will help raise critical funds for the Library for the Performing Arts' beloved Theatre Division as it celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.
