ELF - The Musical Kicks Off The Holiday Season At The Arvada Center

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities kicks off its holiday season with the hit Broadway musical ELF- The Musical directed by Gavin Mayer, opening November 20, 2018. ELF -The Musical is based off the popular 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, which became an instant holiday classic. This charming musical, perfect for audiences of all ages, follows Buddy the Elf on his journey to find his true family and revive their Christmas spirit. The 2018 - 2019 Theatre Season Presenting Sponsor is Lutheran Medical Center.

ROCK OF AGES Rolls Into Akron

The mind-blowing, face melting, nothin' but a good time, audience favorite ROCK OF AGES will return to the stage with a tenth anniversary tour beginning this fall.  Nominated for five Tony Awards including Best Musical, the all new production will play Akron's E.J. Thomas Hall, November 13 and 14, 2018 as part of the 18-19 Broadway in Akron Series.

The Warner Presents ELF JR.

The students of the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education will present the first production of this year's Young Actors Series, ELF JR., in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on November 17 and 18, 2018. The Young Actors Series is sponsored by The Lufkin Family Foundation.

John Gallagher to Receive Lifetime Career Achievement Award at the Cutting Room Short Film Festival

New York indie icon John Gallagher will be honored with a Lifetime Career Achievement Award on October 21 at the inaugural Cutting Room International Short Film Festival. A fixture on the New York scene for 40 years as a director, writer, producer, author, historian and educator, with a wide range of international filmmaking resources and relationships, and a highly regarded, encyclopedic knowledge of films and filmmaking, his track record is especially strong in discovering and mentoring new talent, both in front of and behind the camera.

 NETworks Presentations, LLC, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Unique Features bring the Broadway musical ELF the Musical  to Mayo Performing Arts Center on Sunday, November 18 at 7 pm. Tickets are $59-$99. Limited tickets remain.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. for the Dec. 18-23, 2018 engagement. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, ELF, is part of the Hancock Whitney Broadway in New Orleans 2018-2019 season.

Keith Carradine & Zachary Levi To Be Honored At The 2018 San Diego International Film Festival

The San Diego International Film Festival (SDiFF), produced by the San Diego Film Foundation, announced today that they have honored Oscar-winning performer Keith Carradine with the Gregory Peck Award, and Zachary Levi, star of New Line Cinema's upcoming superhero adventure Shazam!, with the Humanitarian Award for his work with Operation Smile. The awards will be presented October 11th at The Night of the Stars Tribute at the Pendry San Diego in Downtown San Diego, CA.

THE NUN Crosses $200 Million at Global Box Office

New Line Cinema's horror thriller “The Nun” crossed $200 million at the global box office today, in only its second weekend in release.  The latest hit in the studio's hugely successful “Conjuring” universe, “The Nun” has pushed the already highest-grossing horror franchise to more than $1.4 billion…and counting.

Clarksville's Roxy Regional Theatre transports audiences back to Baltimore - the capital of big hair and the city of big dreams - in 1962 with their production of Hairspray, now onstage through September 29. HBO partners with BBC, Bad Wolf, and New Line Cinema in a co-prodution of 'His Dark Materials.' HBO co-production of 8-episode drama series currently set for 2 seasons. HBO secures worldwide rights to the series (excluding the UK).

The Film Arcade Acquires Taylor Schilling's FAMILY

The Film Arcade today announced it has secured the US rights to the hilarious heart-warming comedy, FAMILY, written and directed by Laura Steinel. The film premiered at SXSW 2018 and stars Taylor Schilling ( Netflix's “Orange is the New Black”), Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta”), Jessie Ennis (LIFE OF THE PARTY) and newcomer Bryn Vale. Additional cast includes Matt Walsh (HBO's “Veep”), Allison Tolman (“Fargo”) and Eric Edelstein (JURASSIC WORLD).  FAMILY is set to be released theatrically by The Film Arcade in Spring 2019.
