The fun, fast-paced musical THE WEDDING SINGER is coming to Theatre Tallahassee from November 1 to November 18. 

PlayPenn, the nationally-recognized new play development organization based in Philadelphia, is proud to announce their Summer 2018 Education offerings, which include both courses in Philadelphia and around-the-globe via a unique online platform. A number of internationally-recognized theatre artists are part of the program's faculty, including the return of Obie-winning performer Nilaja Sun, local favorite Michael Hollinger, and acclaimed writer Winter Miller.

The Syracuse University Department of Drama announced the six plays and musicals that will make up the 2018/2019 season. With an emphasis on contemporary work, the season addresses a variety of current issues and concerns as experienced from intimately personal points of view. The season celebrates stories of consequence, while at the same time investigating and challenging the process, implications and impact of storytelling itself.

MTV today announced the categories and nominees for the 2018 'MTV Movie & TV Awards,' hosted by Tiffany Haddish, that celebrate the actors, stories and moments that drove pop culture in the last year. The show will once again feature non-gendered categories - a change that marked an industry-first historic shift. Airing on Monday, June 18 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT from the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles, additional categories and honors will be announced at a later date. The Barn Theatre, Michigan's oldest professional summer theatre, under the artistic leadership of Brendan Ragotzy, announced today the 72nd season of plays and musicals to be presented for the 2018 summer season at the landmark theatre. The Barn structure itself is celebrating 75 years in existence and has housed the Barn Theatre for 72 of them!

Local singer Rose Mallett will present her new one-woman tribute to Sarah Vaughan, 'Songs of Sarah' at 2 PM on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Arthur Newman Theater in Palm Desert. Joining Ms. Mallett will be musicians: David Ring, Danny Flahive, and Tim Pleasant. Tickets for this one performance only are $15 cash at the box office that opens at 1 PM.

On the eve of the premiere of GENIUS: PICASSO on Tuesday April 24, National Geographic announced today that the third season of its acclaimed scripted anthology series will bring to life the myth maker and towering literary figure Mary Shelley. From Fox 21 Television Studios, the new season will again be executive produced by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard's Imagine Entertainment, MWM Studios and EUE/Sokolow, and will premiere globally on National Geographic in 172 countries and 43 languages in 2019. The first season of GENIUS was watched by more than 45 million people around the world, and was National Geographic's best performing new series launch ever.

As the competition heated up in round two, college students in our Top 25 Universities across America voted, cheered, and posted a multitude of photos showing their school's incredible spirit, along with their excitement for Warner Bros. DIRTY BOMB, one of the great but largely untold stories from WWII, will compete at the 2018 Emerging Filmmaker Showcase at the Cannes Film Festival and will be screened on May 15th. at the American Pavilion, at a time TBD. Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) Artistic Director Bill Rauch announced the Festival's 2019 playbill today. The Arvada Center has announced its 2018-2019 season, a diverse line-up of plays and musicals. The three musical and four play season includes a world premiere play, two regional premieres, and a Broadway smash-hit. Jayne Bieber has been upped to senior vice president, Production Management and Operations at Freeform; it was announced today by Tom Ascheim, president, Freeform, to whom she reports. Bieber oversees ProdCo, the network's in-house production entity responsible for original scripted series such as “The Fosters,” “Beyond,” “Young & Hungry” and the upcoming new original series “Siren.” She also supervises all original unscripted and alternative production, such as “Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings,” short form production, post production, and music.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren are set to star in the New Line Cinema thriller The Good Liar, directed by Bill Condon (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Dreamgirls). This will mark McKellen's fourth collaboration with Condon after Gods and Monsters, Mr. Holmes and Beauty and the Beast.
