Young Actors' Theatre Announces ELF THE MUSICAL, JR.

Young Actors' Theatre is pleased to announce their next production for the 2018 - 2019 season. YAT's Winter production season will kick off with the popular holiday show Elf The Musical, Jr featuring actors in grades 2nd-12th. Joining Director Marisa Musgrove on the artistic team are Matt Ignacio (Music Director), Wilfred Paloma (Choreographer), and Devon Jack (Stage Manager).

Elf The Musical, Jr., based on the New Line Cinema hit, is a hilarious fish-out-of-water comedy that follows Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his true identity. Elf, Jr. is a kid friendly musical with lots of toe-tapping songs and dance numbers including "Sparklejollytwinklejingley" and "There is Santa Claus."

Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Performance dates are scheduled for December 6 - 16 and will be presented at ENCORE! Theatre located at 9620 Campo Road, Spring Valley, CA 91977. Ticket prices are $24.00 and are available at www.yatsandiego.org. Discounted tickets are available through cast members.
