The producers of Broadway's Waitress announced that following the performance on Tuesday, March 6 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, acclaimed #1 New York Times bestselling author Jodi Picoult will join Waitress choreographer Lorin Latarro in conversation at a talkback to kick off the hit musical's month-long campaign celebrating Women's History Month.

Blackfriars Theatre is thrilled to welcome Broadway's Rick Lyon to the creative process for their upcoming May production of the Tony-winning musical, Avenue Q. Mr. Lyon, who originated the role of Trekkie Monster/Nikkie in Avenue Q in the New York production, will join the Blackfriars cast for three days of puppeteering workshops. In addition, Mr. Lyon will be accompanied by the Broadway puppets, who will remain in residence at Blackfriars for the entire run of Avenue Q. That's right - Blackfriars Theatre will have the Broadway cast… well, the stuffed ones, that is.

Artistic Director Ray Jivoff unveiled Skylight Music Theatre's 2018-19 Season line-up of "firsts" -- five shows that have never been produced at Skylight.  "We are thrilled to announce this exciting season of well-known and well-loved shows that have not been produced by Skylight before," said Jivoff. The AT&T Performing Arts Center and Dallas Theater Center jointly announced today an unprecedented new collaboration to coproduce the Broadway musical HAIRSPRAY which will be the first title on the AT&T Performing Arts Center's Broadway Series 2018/2019 season. The smash hit musical comedy HAIRSPRAY will play 12 performances July 7 through July 15, 2018 at the Winspear Opera House in the downtown Dallas Arts District.

Comedian Rory Scovel, who was born and raised in Greenville, will play the Peace Center's Gunter Theatre on Saturday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. Scovel's Netflix special, Rory Scovel Tries Stand-Up for the First Time, recently premiered to rave reviews. His stand-up has been featured on Comedy Central, Conan, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and he has released two comedy albums - Dilation and Rory Scovel Live at Third Man Records.

In an interview with Graham Norton on BBC Radio, sir Ian McKellen revealed that he would like to reprise his role as Gandalf in Amazon's LORD OF THE RINGS TV series. The actor portrayed the iconic wizard in the film adaptations of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic novels.

Everyone's favorite ELF will be coming to Seattle in the holiday classic, Elf The Musical. The Broadway musical will play a limited engagement at The Paramount Theatre beginning Today, December 5.

ELF THE MUSICAL is a fun family favorite for all ages. Based on the 2003 film which starred Will Ferrell, the show debuted on Broadway in 2010 with George Wendt as Santa Claus. He reprises the role in the touring production at the Wang Theatre, leading an ensemble of singing and dancing elves, and a big, childlike Erik Gratton as Buddy the Elf.

Bursting with laughs, more laughs, music and escandalo (scandal!), The Latina Christmas Special, written and performed by acclaimed comedians Diana Yanez, Maria Russell and Sandra Valls, returns to The Los Angeles Theatre Center for a third year of holiday joy. Directed by Geoffrey Rivas, the Latino Theater Company production runs Dec. 1 though Jan. 7, with one low-priced preview on Nov. 30.
