Following the success of the Bush Theatre's Studio season, a laboratory for the very best in new writing, new stories, and new experiences, hosting world-class plays about things that matter from some of the best up-and-coming artists, the venue today announces The Kola Nut Does Not Speak English. Written and performed by Tania Nwachukwu and previously seen at the Vault Festival in 2020 will open in the Bush Studio on 28 November (Press night 30 November). 

Following a successful presentation in LA, Grammy-award winner Edie Brickell’s new musical 38 MINUTES will receive an industry workshop on September 27 and 28 in New York City.

San Jose Stage Company has announced the cast and creative team for the first production of its 40th Anniversary 2022-23 Season, Sex with Strangers by Laura Eason. Directed by Johnny Moreno, Sex with Strangers will run from October 12 – 30, 2022 at San Jose Stage Company.

Tick, Tick...BOOM! tells the story of an aspiring composer named Jon, who lives in New York City in 1990. Jon is worried he made the wrong career choice to be part of the performing arts; the audience follows Jon's journey as he decides what to do with the time he's given.

Eric Neumann is one of the fastest rising standup comedians in the United States. In February 2022, he made his late night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC. He has recorded three albums/specials, Nervous Lover, Just A Phase, and, most recently, But Enough about Me: A Crowd Work Album. All three reached number 1 on the iTunes Comedy charts and are currently playing on Sirius XM Radio. He has appeared on Season 3 of Comedy Central's This Week at the Comedy Cellar, as well as Season 1 of The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show on Netflix. In 2021, he was featured in The Jerusalem Post as 'one of the Jewish comedians who stayed relevant during the Covid-19 pandemic.' He is currently on a headlining tour performing at major comedy clubs across the country. When not touring, Eric lives in Manhattan, where he is a regular at the Comedy Cellar.

Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre has announced casting for its Chicago premiere production of AMERICAN SON, by Christopher Demos-Brown. Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre Artistic Director Tim Rhoze will direct the drama, which will run October 29 - November 13, 2022.

The first Broadway revival of August Wilson's The Piano Lesson begins previews tonight, September 19, at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre for its 17-week engagement.  Meet the cast bringing this play back to Broadway!
