Mean Girls is set to commemorate "Mean Girls Day" - because this year October 3rd falls on a Pink Wednesday - with a special performance on Wednesday, October 3rd. Now, the production has announced local New York City businesses that will be partnering with Mean Girls to celebrate the day

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director) is celebrating its 30th Annual Festival of New Musicals this year, and in recognition of that milestone, NAMT will host a month-long new musicals celebration this September. During New Musicals Month, NAMT will celebrate and honor the groundbreaking work their members do year-round to develop new work.

SHN is pleased to announce the First National Tour of Mean Girls-the record-breaking new musical comedy produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman, and Paramount Pictures based on the hilarious hit film-will be coming to San Francisco as part of the 2019-2020 SHN Season.

The "Mean Girls Original Broadway Cast Recording" on Atlantic Records will get a vinyl release on Friday, August 24. The next week, Urban Outfitters will host an exclusive fan signing event with members of the Mean Girls Broadway cast and creative team at their flagship Herald Square store location

Tony Award nominee Jennifer Simard (Disaster!, Hello, Dolly!) will join the cast of Mean Girls as Mrs. Heron / Ms. Norbury / Mrs. George beginning Tuesday, September 11.

Wonderful cast directed by Tina Landau is a nice diversion from presidential politics.

Broadway director and writer Gordon Greenberg has revised the book for Meet Me In St. Louis at The Muny. Performances began August 4 and will run until August 12. This production, the 8th in Muny history, will also include several songs new to the stage adaptation of Meet Me In St. Louis, including 'Boys and Girls Like You and Me,' a song written by Rodgers & Hammerstein for Oklahoma! and then recorded for, but ultimately cut, from the film of Meet Me In St. Louis. This production will also include the first stage use of 'You and I,' a song in the film by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed.

How fetch! Mean Girls will celebrate "Mean Girls Day" on October 3, which this year falls on a "pink" Wednesday, with a free fan performance! The show will take place at 7:00pm at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street), featuring special appearances by members of the Mean Girls creative team. Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces single tickets on sale July 31, 2018 for the full 2018/19 season.

Dave, new musical, is now on stage at Arena Stage. By three-time Tony Award winner Thomas Meehan (Annie, Hairspray, The Producers), two-time Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin (Mean Girls, Legally Blonde) and Pulitzer Prize and two-time Tony Award winner Tom Kitt (Next to Normal, IfThen), Dave is inspired by the Academy Award-nominated American political comedy film. The world-premiere engagement is produced by special arrangement with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, The Donners' Company and Larger Than Life. Under the direction of Tony Award nominee Tina Landau, and with choreography by Tony Award nominee Sam Pinkleton and music direction by Rob Berman, Dave runs July 13-August 19, 2018 in the Kreeger Theater.

The Plastics reign yet again! The award-winning hit new Broadway musical comedy Mean Girls, produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman, and Paramount Pictures, has broken the August Wilson Theatre box office record for the fifth time, grossing $1,595,340.30 over eight performances for the week ending July 29, 2018.

'Dave' is a really fun show with a strong cast. It's just the right kind of show we need in DC right now. While questions might emerge as to whether it can play elsewhere, I would suggest that no matter where you live, you may be eager to immerse yourself in a world of political optimism for a few hours.

From a Tony and Pulitzer Prize award-winning creative team comes the world-premiere musical comedy DAVE, adapted from the Oscar-nominated film. DAVE tells the story ofhigh school teacher (and presidential lookalike) DAVE Kovic, who is hired by the Secret Service as a stand-in for the Commander-in-Chief. When the President falls ill under less than 'presidential' circumstances, DAVE is thrust into the Oval Office to avoid a national scandal, and must find a way to gain the trust and love of the American people...and the First Lady.
