Broadway In Chicago is pleased to announce the First National Tour of Mean Girls the record-breaking new musical comedy produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman, and Paramount Pictures based on the hit film will be coming to Broadway In Chicago's James M. Ensemble Studio Theatre (EST) (William Carden, Artistic Director, Sarah McLellan, Executive Director) and The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation (Doron Weber, Vice-President, Programs) announced today a second extension for the World Premiere of Behind the Sheet, written by Charly Evon Simpson (Jump) and directed by Colette Robert (Mary's Wedding). Part of the EST/Sloan Science & Technology Project (Graeme Gillis, Program Director; Linsay Firman, Associate Director), Behind the Sheet began previews at EST's Curt Dempster Theatre (549 W. 52nd Street, New York, NY 10019) on January 9, 2019, and opened January 17. Originally set to close on February 3, the play will now run through February 17, 2019.

The eight performance runs starts on January 20, 2019, at Pierce Auditorium, located at 15430 Kercheval Ave, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230. Parking is free. Complimentary valet is available. In 1948, Grosse Pointe Theatre staged their inaugural show, Clarence by Booth Tarkington at Pierce Auditorium.

Today, Hancock Whitney Broadway in New Orleans at the Saenger Theatre announced its 2019 - 2020 season line-up of shows, headlined by the six-time Tony Award and 2018 Grammy Award-winning Best Musical DEAR EVAN HANSEN and also includes MEAN GIRLS; A CHRISTMAS STORY, THE MUSICAL; MISS SAIGON; Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY; ANASTASIA; and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. The 2019-2020 season is presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association and will begin in the Fall. The new season represents a wide range of Tony Award winners and Broadway blockbusters for New Orleans audiences to enjoy.
Prologue Theatre Announces Inaugural Season

Arlington's newest professional theatre company, Prologue Theatre, is launching its inaugural season in January 2019 with Heidi Schreck's Grand Concourse. This intimate four-character play challenges audiences to consider a variety of perspectives as the lives of Shelley, Emma, Oscar, and Frog intersect at a Bronx soup kitchen. The production will be performed at the Key Bridge Marriott, 1401 Lee Hwy, Arlington, VA 22209, from January 24 to February 17, 2019. Performances will begin at 8 pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and at 2 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
