CBS Announces 'Sunday Night At The Movies'

CBS today announced plans to launch a Sunday movie night in May, featuring five iconic and acclaimed feature films from the Paramount Pictures library.

EMPEROR Acquired by Briarcliff Entertainment

Briarcliff Entertainment has acquired all U.S. distribution rights to the slave rebellion action-thriller EMPEROR as announced today by Briarcliff CEO Tom Ortenberg. Scheduled for a March 27, 2020 theatrical release, EMPEROR is written and directed by Mark Amin and stars Dayo Okeniyi, Kat Graham, Bruce Dern, James Cromwell and Mykelti Williamson.

OWN's Docu-Series BLACK LOVE Moves to New Night And Time

Oprah Winfrey Network announced today the new night and time for the second half of season three of its hit docu-series, “Black Love,” which returns with all new episodes on Friday, November 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. The series, which celebrates love stories from the Black community, will anchor a new night of original holiday movies about African American families.

CANAL STREET Arrives On Digital 8/20 and DVD On 9/1

Cinedigm (NASDAQ: CIDM) and Smith Global Media announced that the Chicago crime drama CANAL STREET will arrive on digital platforms on August 20, 2019 and DVD on September 1, 2019. The film follows a young man arrested for the murder of a white classmate, while his father embraces his undying faith to fight in court for his son's vindication.

The first-place winner was Trajan Clayton from Perry, GA; second-place, Katara Willis from Buffalo, NY; and third place, Abad Viquez from Chicago, IL.

In first place, Gerardo Navarro from Los Angeles, in second place, Nia Sarfo from Chicago, and third place went to Teslyne Junior from New York City.
