Sundance Institute Announces 2023 Producers Lab And Intensive Fellows

The nonprofit Sundance Institute has announced 10 producers selected to participate in the Producers Lab, taking place July 24–28 at Utah's Sundance Mountain Resort, as well as 11 producers for the fall Producers Intensive.

Joffrey Academy Of Dance Launches National Call For ALAANA Artists For 14th Annual Winning Works Choreographic Competition

The Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet, is seeking ALAANA (African, Latinx, Asian, Arab and Native American) artists to submit applications for the Joffrey Academy's Fourteenth Annual Winning Works Choreographic Competition. The goal of the award is to recognize talented and emerging ALAANA choreographers whose unique perspective will ignite creativity in the form of original works of dance. The deadline for application is July 31, 2023.

Arghavan Khosravi: Black Rain, on view at the Rose Art Museum from August 3 through October 22 in the Lois Foster Wing, is the Iranian artist's first comprehensive museum survey. Arghavan Khosravi (b. 1984) has become known for weaving Persian motifs with surreal iconography, creating ghostly, enigmatic artworks that thematize gender, censorship, power, and cultural transience.
