Westport Country Playhouse will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Steven Spielberg's classic 1975 film “Jaws,” on Monday, June 2, at 7 p.m., with a screening accompanied by talk and trivia before and after the movie with Mark Shanahan, Playhouse artistic director and event host.
In the summer of 1975, moviegoers flocked to theaters to see “Jaws,” the story of the hunt for a man-eating great white shark attacking beachgoers at a summer vacation spot, making the picture the first summer blockbuster.
The Park Theatre in Jaffrey will show this very special version of JAWS for one day only, Friday, August 9, at 2 & 7 pm. The film is part of The Park’s Big Screen Classics series.

Montalvo Arts Center invites movie-lovers to sit under the stars and enjoy classic movies with Sunset Cinemas. Part of its Summer Nights Series, the free screenings of The Wizard of Oz, Grease, and Jaws will take place on the front lawn of Montalvo, where guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or low chair to set up. Beer, wine, and snacks will also be available for purchase on-site.
