The newest offering at Lincoln Center's Claire Tow Theater features a beautiful dreamscape depicting a woman in a small boat being guided through swelling ocean waves by a friendly face painted on the moon. As designed by Brett J. Banakis (set), Montana Levi Blanco (costumes) and Eric Southern (lights), it's a romantic tribute to a style of theatre that made box offices buzz over a hundred years ago.

Tasha Lawrence, Morocco Omari, Karen Pittman, Namir Smallwood, Jaime Lincoln Smith, and Heather Velazquez are featured in Lincoln Center Theater's production of Pipeline, a new play by Dominique Morisseau, directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, which is currently in previews at the Mitzi E. The Public Theater presents MOBILE UNIT'S HAMLET, directed by Patricia McGregor. The sit-down run of HAMLET follows a free three-week tour to the five boroughs bringing Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts. The Shakespeare classic will run in The Public Theater's Shiva Theater through Sunday, October 9. Now in its sixth year, The Public Theater's Mobile Shakespeare Unit is focused on bringing Shakespeare to non-traditional venues such as prisons, homeless shelters and centers for disadvantaged youth around the tri-state area.

In this third year, PUBLIC STUDIO will present PRETTY HUNGER by Public Theater Emerging Writers Group alumna Patricia Ione Lloyd, directed by Martha Banta, running March 10 through March 19. The second show, TEENAGE DICK by Mike Lew, will be directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel and run March 24 through April 2.

Yale Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere of WAR by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, running tonight, November 21, through December 13 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street).
