Following the huge success of the four previous seasons at Summerhall which have included the award-winning Us/Them, One Hundred Homes and The Great Downhill Journey of Little Tommy, BIG IN BELGIUM producers Big in Belgium, Richard Jordan Productions and Theatre Royal Plymouth are celebrating a fifth  year at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Ontroerend Goed today winning a Fringe First for £¥€$ (LIES).

Emmy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated actor Peter Krause (“The Catch,” “Six Feet Under”) has been cast in a lead role in FOX's provocative new drama, 9-1-1, from creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (the “American Horror Story” franchise, “Nip/Tuck”). The series will premiere in 2018.

Mirror Visions Ensemble (MVE) announces its 2017-2018 season, which brings the group to Hudson, Quebec; Jamaica Plain and Salem, Massachusetts; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Fullerton, California; Morristown, New Jersey; and New York City. Now in its 26th season, MVE was founded from a desire to explore the relationship between music and text, initially through the creation of 'mirror visions' - settings of the same text to music by different composers.

Mark DeGarmo Dance (MDD) is a not-for-profit charity founded in 1987 with a three-part mission: Education, Performance and Intercultural Community. The Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition hosted just under 200 dancers from countries around the world for the June 6-10 event at Symphony Space, New York City.  The rich display of international talent was breathtaking as dancers in four categories, ages 11 to 26, performed for medals, scholarships to dance academies around the world, and company contracts with the Boston Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, and Columbia Classical Ballet.

Over 100 talented dancers from around the globe will gather in New York next week when the Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition opens Tuesday, June 6th at 11:15 am with an opening ceremony and follows with Rounds - each dancer or couple having the opportunity to dance before the Jury.

The 7th Annual Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition, rewarding excellence in both classical and modern dance, will take place June 6-10 at Symphony Space,95th Street and Broadway, NYC.   Semi-finals were held in Posadas, Argentina, September 2016, and  March 2017, at the theater of the Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg, Russia., and NYC will see Competition Rounds, followed by the Finals, announcements of Awards, and Gala Performance, an evening of dances by medalists, guests, and presentation of an award to Arthur Mitchell.    With its commitment to 'Preserving the Past, Discovering the Future,' and recognizing those who have made major contributions to the world of dance, VKIBC is proud to honor Mr. Mitchell, former principal dancer with New York City Ballet and founder of Dance Theater of Harlem.

The Schimmel Center at Pace University presents two performances of Immortal Chi: A Warrior's Quest for Balance-a fusion of Chinese martial arts and acrobatics, accompanied by an all-female percussion ensemble-on Friday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m. The production, directed by Erick Villeneuve (Era, Intersection of Time, Kaleido, Eqi), is full of stunts, traditional weaponry, and feats of human endurance, and tells the story about a Tai-Chi master and his challenge to re-gain his inner energy and life force, casting a new perspective on Chinese theatrical history.

Opera Atelier's 16-17 season continues with Marc-Antoine Charpentier's Medea at the Elgin Theatre, Apr. 22-29, 2017. Following its Toronto run, Medea will tour to the Royal Opera House at the Palace of Versailles, marking the first time that Charpentier's masterpiece has played in the Royal Opera House. The production stars soprano Peggy Kriha Dye and Canadian tenor Colin Ainsworth, the powerhouse partnership that gained international acclaim in Opera Atelier's Armide.

Opera Columbus today announced its most collaborative season to date for the 2017-18 season, showcasing the artists of Juilliard, the Columbus Symphony, Against the Grain Theatre, and Company XIV in a not-to-be-missed trilogy of timeless operatic repertoire presented in what has become Opera Columbus' signature forward-thinking style.

On Today, February 23, 2017, Canada's next generation of opera stars takes over the mainstage of the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts for An Evening with the Ensemble Studio: Music of Handel and Mozart.

Actress Christina Ricci was presented with the Vanguard Award following the screening and Q&A for Amazon's 'Z' The Beginning of Everything,' with actor David Holfin, and executive producers Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin. The cast of FOX's 'Star' also received the Rising Star Award on Saturday night. Actors Jude Demorest, Brittany O'Grady and Ryan Destiny accepted the honor on behalf of the cast.
