Hampstead Theatre has announced the first three productions of 2019.

The National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of Jennifer Fawcett's award winning Apples in Winter opens this weekend at Centenary Stage Company. The limited performances run November 8 through November 18 in the Lackland Performing Arts Center at 715 Grand Avenue Hackettstown, NJ. Directed by Mikaela Kafka, the production stars Colleen Smith Wallnau.

The Burning Coal Theatre Company is proud to present Conor McPherson's The Weir, the story of what happens on a seemingly quiet evening in a rural Irish pub when the local boys are visited by a stranger. Directed by Jerome Davis, The Weir will play at Burning Coal's Murphey School Auditorium in downtown Raleigh from November 29th through December 16th. There will be a "pay what you can day" on Sunday December 2nd.   Performances are November 29, 30 and December 1, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 & 15 at 7:30 pm and December 2, 9 & 16th at 2 pm.  Tickets are available now for $25, with a senior discount (65+) at $20, a student, teachers, and active military discount at $15 and student rush tickets for $5 (if available) at curtain. Centenary Stage Company's 2018 - 19 theatrical season continues with the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of Jennifer Fawcett's award winning Apples in Winter.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey continues its 56th season with its fourth Main Stage production, Buried Child. This will mark the first time the Theatre has presented a play by Sam Shepard, who passed away last year. Paul Mullins returns to direct. Veteran company member Sherman Howard leads a cast that features returning company members Anthony Marble and Carol Halstead, as well as Roger Clark, Paul Cooper, Michael Dale, and Andrea Morales, all of whom are making their STNJ debut. Performances begin September 19. Patrons can purchase tickets at The F.M. The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) a production of The Present Company presents Stranger Than A Rhino, a contemporary reimagining of Ionesco's Rhinoceros with themes of race, culture and xenophobia, written by Robert Siegel.  William Roudebush directs a cast of eight, including Vick Krishna, Jeremy Lister, Barbara Matovu, Amanda McCallum, Leslie Lynn Meeker, Charles Rubey, David Shakopi and Scott Zimmerman. 

The Las Vegas engagement of Waitress will be 'Opening Up' with Jessie Shelton and Matt DeAngelis in the roles of Dawn and Earl when the tour opens in Las Vegas on Tuesday, October 9th at The Smith Center. Waitress is the hit Broadway musical from Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles inspired by Adrienne Shelly's 2007 motion picture.

Austin Pendleton and Barbara Bleier are returning to PANGEA, New York's downtown supper club, with a reprise of their show, STARTING HERE- The Songs of Richard Maltby and David Shire. There are two performances scheduled: October 2nd and 9th. Pendleton has been friends with Maltby and Shire since they were all undergraduates at Yale in the 1960s, and had appeared in several of their student productions. The composers have been generous enough to offer some of their unpublished works from earlier and later dates to the duo, and Pendleton and Bleier are thrilled to be performing their work. Paul Greenwood is the Musical Director, and Barbara Maier Gustern directs.

THE COLLECTIVE NY announces complete casting for the world premiere production of David Thigpen's THE HURRICANE PARTY, directed by Tony Award Nominee Maria Dizzia (In the Next Room). Previews begin on Wednesday, August 29 at the Studio Stage at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Opening night is set for Tuesday, September 11, with a limited engagement through Sunday, October 7, 2018.

Chester Theatre Company (CTC) is proud to present Amherst native Annie Baker's The Aliens in the historic Chester Town Hall, 15 Middlefield Road in Chester, MA from August 9 through August 19, 2018.   Jasper and KJ, both suffering from 'failure to launch,' have created their own universe behind a local coffee shop, where the dumpster smells last week's lattes. Enter Evan, an impressionable new employee/high school student intrigued by the pair's unconventional charm. While the two impart their 'wisdom' on their new, young friend, life's great pleasures like literature and music are savored along with its bitter brew.  

Chester Theatre Company (CTC) presents Stephen Massicotte's two-actor, three-character play, Mary's Wedding, in the historic Chester Town Hall, 15 Middlefield Road in Chester, MA, from July 26 through August 5, 2018.

Musical theatre actor, bookwriter, and lyricist, Randy Blair, took to Twitter to release a personal project that 'came to [him] in a dream,' The Periodic Table of Belting.

After a successful run in Central Park, playing to over 4,000 people, performances resume on Wednesday, June 27 in Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City for New York Classical Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Romeo and Juliet, directed by the company's Founding Artistic Director Stephen Burdman. The production will play this week through June 30, before continuing on to The Battery, Carl Schurz Park, and Brooklyn Bridge Park for performances through July 29. New York Classical Theatre (Stephen Burdman, Artistic Director), New York City's only all-free professional Off-Broadway theatre company, is pleased to announce a new production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to celebrate its 19th Anniversary Season. The production, directed by Mr. Burdman, is the company's first staging of Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers, and will be presented in five New York City parks - Central Park, Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City, The Battery, Carl Schurz Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park - with performances from June 5 through July 29 at 7:00 PM. There is no ticketing, and all performances are free and open to the public. New York Classical Theatre also invites audiences to experience unique behind-the-scenes access to open rehearsals on selected dates for each of the five park stagings.
