In the nearly 4-year-run of the Broadway smash, Matilda the Musical, there have been five sets of Matildas. 19 girls have played the role on Broadway and, for the first time ever, all five 'generations' of Matildas performed together in one exciting concert event at Feinstein's/54 Below. These precocious young ladies performed some of their favorite songs from Broadway and beyond. For four years, they have proven 'even if you're little, you can do a lot.'

Monkees lead singer Micky Dolenz and Matilda The Musical's MiMi Ryder have joined the cast of award-winning writer Stewart St John's Tara Tremendous The Musical, based on Wonkybot Studios' #1 iTunes Kids & Family podcast The Secret Diaries of Tara Tremendous. The Tony Award® winning MATILDA THE MUSICAL will close on January 1, 2017, it was announced today. By then, it will have played 37 previews, 1,555 regular performances, and one Actors Fund performance. The production opened on April 11, 2013 (previews began March 4) at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). MATILDA THE MUSICAL has paid back its $16 million investment on Broadway, making the show a rare hit simultaneously on Broadway and in London's West End.
Earlier this week, La MaMa hosted a 29-hour Equity reading of Chix 6, with Book/Music/Lyrics by Lourds Lane. The event featured direction by Jackson Grace Gay, music direction by Wendy Bobbitt Cavett, and assistant music direction by Julie McBride.

The 2016 KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY National Ambassadors Kelli O'Hara and Marlee Matlin just announced that the 20th Kids' Night on Broadway will take place in New York City on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016, BroadwayWorld has confirmed. Matilda The Musical will launch a digital lottery on October 27, offering a limited number of $32 seats each day via MatildaLottery.com. Entries can be submitted the day of the preferred performance, by 11am for matinees or by 3pm for evening performances. Entrants may choose to be notified of winning via email or text, and winners may claim up to two tickets, which will be held for purchase at the box office.
