On Saturday, May 20 at 9:00 pm, WFMT classical radio will celebrate the 70th anniversary of THE MIDNIGHT SPECIAL, Chicago's longest running radio program, with a live special recorded in front of an audience in WFMT's Fay and Daniel Levin Performance Studio.

The Ensemble Company, now in their fifth year in residence at Penguin Point Productions located within the Oviedo Mall, continues its 2023 season with a production of Edward Albee's masterpiece, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, which celebrated 60 years in 2022. Virginia Woolf is rescheduled from The Ensemble Company's 2022 season.

Linda Emond, Wesley Taylor, and Jeremy Shamos have joined the upcoming third season of Only Murders in the Building in recurring roles. Season three of the hit comedy will also feature Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Meryl Streep, Ashley Park, Jesse Williams, Paul Rudd, and Andrea Martin. It is set to follow the making of a Broadway show.

Viola Davis Achieves EGOT Status at the GRAMMYs

Following her new GRAMMY win, Viola Davis has become the 18th person in history to achieve the EGOT status. Davis has won two Tony Awards for King Hedley II in 2001 and then for Fences in 2010. She won an Emmy Award for How to Get Away With Murder and an Oscar for reprising her stage role in the film adaptation of Fences.
