A tribute to the classic Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland film musicals of the 1930s and 40s, Golly Gee Whiz! takes place in an American town, Happyville, during the Great Depression. Happyville's residents are unmotivated and bored. Eager to make a change, a group of local children band together with the help of Mickey and Judy to put on a great show and re-establish Happyville as the bustling, optimistic town that it once was. Golly Gee Whiz! is a musical about the power and influence that young children can have even in times of hardship.

Arizona Theatre Company presents two classic films in June at the Temple of Music and Art, 330 S. Scott Avenue, Tucson. Tickets for all films are $10 and may be purchased online at arizonatheatre.orgor at the door on the night of the film.  All tickets are general admission.

Porchlight Music Theatre is proud to announce the 13th Annual Chicago Sings concert; Chicago Sings The MGM Musicals, Monday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m., at Second City's UP Comedy Club, 230 W. Steve Blanchard, well known as Broadway's longest running Beast in Disney's Beauty and the Beast has joined the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME. Mr. Blanchard is already playing Detective Ascher, replacing Richard Shoberg in the role.

It is a deep, passionate, all-encompassing love amongst it's members. And that is what I was feeling, attending a most prestigious (in my opinion) Event; The Professional Dancer's Society 31st Annual Luncheon & “Gypsy” Award Ceremony, held Yearly in the International Room at the Beverly Hilton.

When you hear the title COLLECTIVE RAGE and understand that the play you're to see may be feminist, queer, or both, you might picture angry women screaming about men, God, the universe, or almost anything. Once you see that the full title is COLLECTIVE RAGE: A TALE IN FIVE BETTIES, you might warm up to the idea that the play might not be so very angry. If you were to read the entire subtitle, which you're best off reading on the program and not here, and start laughing about Ernest Shackleton and comparing the Antarctic to genitalia, you will certainly realize you're face to face with comedy.
