LOVE, ACTUALLY, an Evening Cabaret of Love Songs to Play at Theatre West

Love, Actually, an evening of music celebrating love in all its forms will appear at Theatre West on March 12th and 19th. The cabaret is directed by Victoria Lavan, musical directed by Paul Cady, produced by Rick Simone-Friedland, and presented by Theatre West Musical Theatre Workshop.

California Artists Unite For The Passage Of The Performing Arts Relief Act

Artists throughout the state of California are uniting for the passage of Senate Bill 805 (SB 805), titled, “The Performing Arts Relief Act,” which the Senate Labor Committee will vote on Wednesday, April 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in Sacramento, CA.   A Coalition of 36 small 99-seat non-profit theaters and freelance performers are banding together to make theater accessible to all.

OUR MAN SANTIAGO Has Added Performances at Theatre West

The world premiere comedy spy thriller Our Man in Santiago, scheduled to open this coming Friday, March 13 at Theatre West, will extend for one week due to strong advance ticket sales. Previously announced through April 5, the new closing date will be April 12, with added performances on Friday, April 10 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, April 11 at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, April 12 at 6 p.m.

Two low-priced previews take place March 11 and March 12.

Musical Theatre Guild to Stage THE GOLDEN APPLE in Concert at New Roads School, 2/8

Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will continue their 2014-2015 season with the 1955 cult classic THE GOLDEN APPLE. The one-night-only concert will take place at the Moss Theatre at New Roads School in Santa Monica on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 7:00 pm.

Final Week to Expose Those Posing Strap Pirates

Back in the 50s and 60s when it was hardly kosher to even mention homosexuality, there existed a raft of pulp fiction novels along with popular physique magazines in the underground that kept gay men somewhat pleased and happy while they had to hide their sexual preferences from public view. Playwright Michael Van Duzer has created a campy, silly play that exhibits the man-to-man appeal of that time period entitled Posing Strap Pirates now onstage at the Eclectic Company Theatre through December 10.
