Poway OnStage, a dba of the Poway Center for the Performing Arts Foundation, is proud to announce the appointment of Sharlene O'Keefe to the position of Executive Director.  O'Keefe assumed the role on July 1, 2022 and her duties will include overseeing the operations of the 32-year-old non-profit including programming the annual Professional Performance Series at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts and guiding the organization's Arts in Education Initiative.  She fills the position held by Michael Rennie who had served as Executive Director/CEO since 2009.

Acclaimed American singer-songwriter, fiddler and multi-instrumentalist Sara Watkins, of Nickel Creek fame, will perform soulful songs and more from her latest solo collection on Sunday evening, August 25th at 6:30 p.m. at the Bernardo Winery. 

Poway OnStage is proud to announce its 2019-2020 Professional Performance Season marking the 29th year of presenting one-night-only performances in the intimate 800-seat theatre known for its high fidelity sound, excellent sightlines and beautiful lobby.

San Diego Music Award winners Berkley Hart return to Poway OnStage after two consecutive sold out shows here (Oh Berkley, Where Hart Thou? and The Last Waltz) for Wreck 'N Show, a live performance of their debut Wreck 'N Sow album for one-night-only Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 8:00pm. Wreck 'N Show completes a year-long cycle of concerts recreating the duo's catalog of recordings.

GRAMMY winners Los Lobos bring their Latin-infused East LA rock to Poway OnStage for one-night-only Friday, March 16, 2018 at 8:00pm This acoustic show will cover the band's 30-year career.  Of Los Lobos, Billboard Magazine said 'While often cited as one of the great bands of Latino Rock, Los Lobos' eclectic sound in fact defined them as a vital example of America's cultural melting pot.'

Sounds of the Big Easy, the latest theatrical music production from Six String Society, will be performed at Poway OnStage one-night-only Saturday, February 24, 2017 at 8:00pm. The show will feature Mr. Gregory Page, Sue Palmer, Casey Hensley, Sharifah Muhammad, The Euphoria Brass Band, Nathan James, The Bayou Brothers and others.

Rock band KANSAS performs Tuesday, September 19th at 8:00pm in Poway OnStage's 800 seat theater as part of their Leftoverture 40th anniversary tour. Leftoverture which sold over 6 million albums and includes 'Carry On Wayward Son' will be performed in its entirety for the first time in 43 years.  

On Wednesday, June 28, Poway OnStage will be honored as a "Nonprofit of the Year" at the second annual celebration of California Nonprofits Day at the State Capitol in Sacramento.

Poway OnStage's annual fundraiser Taste Of Our Towne: A Premiere Culinary Arts and Wine Tasting Event will be on the Plaza at Poway Center for the Performing Arts Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 5:00-9:30pm. This fundraiser features over 25 of North County's finest restaurants, wineries and breweries - all offering samples of their signature dishes and sips, live music, dancing, live and silent auctions, and prizes

The Poway OnStage 2017/18 season opens with the arena rock of KANSAS. It continues with GRAMMY winning artists: Los Lobos, Aaron Neville, BJ Thomas and Roger McGuinn. Saturday Night Live alumna and Broadway leading lady Ana Gasteyer brings her cabaret show. Local music takes center stage with Six String Society's Sounds of the Big Easy and roots rockers Berkley Hart. Cameron Carpenter brings his international touring organ and a wide repertoire of classical and modern pieces. Love Letters From Vietnam is a unique live theatrical musical performance of Alex Woodward's songs written for the daughter of Vietnam vet Sgt. John K. Fuller. TAO: Drum Heart closes the season with their world tour of large-scale Japanese taiko drumming, dance and martial arts.
