When a young director receives international recognition for a film based on his experience of bullying in high school, he names the real-life bully in his acceptance speech. VENUS IN FUR, SEMINAR & More Set for Kitchen Theatre Co.'s 23rd Season

The Kitchen Theatre Company is excited to announce that its 2013-14 Season begins September 4, 2013. This marks the start of the Kitchen's 23rd Season and the fourth in its beautiful, LEED-certified, 99-seat space located at 417 W. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street, Ithaca, NY. Led by Artistic Director Rachel Lampert and Managing Director Stephen Nunley, the Kitchen Theatre Company is a professional Equity Theater that produces new and recent plays. 'Important conversations happen in the Kitchen' is the catchphrase and the philosophy behind over two decades of thought-provoking work. Following an acclaimed, sold-out run earlier this year Fault Line Theatre will transfer its timely new play FROM WHITE PLAINS - about the lasting effects of gay bullying - to the Pershing Square Signature Center for an Off-Broadway run, currently running through March 9, 2013. FROM WHITE PLAINS Will Open Off-Broadway 2/14

The Arvada Center Opens Creede Repertory Theatre’s IS HE DEAD?, 10/2

The Arvada Center will host the critically acclaimed Creede Repertory Theatre's presentation of Is He Dead? adapted by David Ives from an unpublished story by Mark Twain in the intimate Black Box Theater. Previews are September 28 through September 30 at 7:30 p.m. nightly, opening Tuesday, October 2 through October 28. TinyRhino is UglyRhino's take on the ten-minute play evening. Each month we commission six short plays each including the same five dramatic elements. On the night of the performance, these elements are revealed to the audience as cues to drink.

Michael Perlman, whose critically acclaimed NYFringe solo show, Flying on the Wing, was named Outstanding Solo Show of 2006, debuts his new ensemble play, From White Plains, produced by Fault Line Theatre at the CSV Cultural Center from tonight, May 31st through June 10th. Perlman's solo show powerfully and imaginatively dealt with the playwright's personal struggles dealing with Stickler's Syndrome and coming to terms with his sexuality.
