Casting has been set for the 24th STreet Theatre award-winning production of "Walking the Tightrope," which will be remounted for the Kirk Douglas Theatre presentation of four public performances only, May 2 and 3 at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
'Walking the Tightrope' by Mike Kenny, directed by Debbie Devine, comes to the Kirk Douglas Theatre as part of Center Theatre Group's DouglasPlus programming at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on May 2 and 3, 2015. (Student performances April 28 through May 1). This is a production of the 24th STreet Theatre.
Cast members of the national tour of Sister Act: The Musical have a new tradition: #SIC, or Sunday Intermission Covers! Every Sunday during the show's 15-minute intermission, cast members rush backstage to perform a quick cover of one of their favorite songs. This week, the nuns pay homage to Whoopi Goldberg and the original sisters by singing 'Follow Him' in the style of the 1992 movie hit 'Sister Act.' Ta'Rea Campbell (Deloris) and Ashley Moniz (Sister Mary Robert) are joined by nuns Roberta Wall (Mary Lazarus), Jessica Sheridan, Erin Henry, Carla Woods, Micaela Martinez, Natalie Storrs, Dawn Rother, Stephanie Hayslip, Amy Persons, and Angie Marie Smith.
