Two major reunion shows will take place this week on “Stars In The House,” all to benefit The Actors Fund. On Friday, June 4, they will bring together the cast of the beloved Emmy Award-winning series “Kate & Allie”. On Saturday, June 5, Seth and James will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Seth’s “Dreamgirls” benefit concert.

McCarter Theater Center has announced the 2021 Gala that will take place on June 11th at 7pm. This virtual event will include performance segments and tribute messages from special McCarter artists, giving audiences a sneak peek at the programming for McCarter's re-opening season.

For 10 select weekends between June 4 and September 26, the sounds of music and memories will grace the Playhouse’s vintage patio. Seated at socially distanced tables of twos and fours, the patio comes alive seating 100 patrons for each of our four weekend performances — Fridays 5:00p, Saturdays 2:30 and 5:00p, and Sundays at 7:00p.

The cast of the “The Joy Luck Club” will reunite on “Stars In The House” this Friday, May 28 at 8pm ET, in honor of AAPI Heritage Month. Kieu Chinh, France Nuyen, Ming-Na Wen, Lauren Tom, Rosalind Chao, and writer/author Amy Tan will come together to reminisce about their time working on this groundbreaking project. 

In preparation for the return to live, in-person productions, Trinity Rep has restructured and reorganized its staffing, including making three new hires to its senior management team. The organization will also be hiring dozens of new employees for all departments in the coming months.

The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall announces the following change to the 2020-2021 season: Audra McDonald’s performance on February 13, 2021 has been rescheduled to February 11, 2022 at 8 p.m. 

Ms. Lester succeeds Interim Executive Director Michael Roberts who assumed the role last June after the retirement of longtime Director Noreen Tomassi. Ms. Lester was selected after an extensive national search and began the role on April 6, 2021.

The Laramie Project, by Moisés Kaufman and the members of Tectonic Theater Project, will be performed outside at the South Road Farm in Fayette this July.  What makes The Laramie Project unique for the theatre is its minimalistic set and true-to-story setting, helping to drive home this powerful production.
